I may be wrong and there could be more or less but not even a country barring US/China can boast those figures.

That's not the same. Those towers have something like 40 and 30 floors.

I really don't think all these towers will be built, especially the really tall ones like in this thread.
I dunno about al burj, I'll believe it when we see a proper announcement.
Burj al alam is having problems since they sold out cheaply and now the tower costs twice as much to build than it did 2 or 3 years ago.
I don't know how the pentominium is feasible, They only have 160 apartments that were going for between 2 and 5 million. Let's say an average of 4m. 4m X 160 = 640m which I really doubt is enough to build it, especially since the cost of building has gone up about twice in 1 to 2 years!
Dubai Towers, again we don't know yet because they are still a few years before anything happens.
Damac Heights?
Princess Tower is getting built, I think Marina 101 will get finished as well, designs are pretty simple so not too expensive to build.
I hope the lighthouse tower gets a move on because it's a great building.

Dubai Towers got the green light recently from the Big Boss. Heard it from industry insiders that might be involved in the construction process.

WOW....that three stunning projects in one. Unusual looking for sure but not really for Dubai's plan. I sure hope they all get built!

True, since they are building most things from the ground up they can use a wide variety of esthetic types and plan the area around them.

I thought they had the green light long ago. It's just that there's nothing built there yet, they need to set up some infrastructure first before these can be built. Also will they start the towers straight away or wait like dubai properties with the dancing towers? All I'm saying is these aren't going to start next week, and probably not in a few months either. By the time they do start will construction costs have doubled again?

I think it was green light to start construction, meaning the final design is approved.

Even in the case of Dancing Towers, from the time Zaha Hadid presented the concept design till now, the structural enginers at Meinhard Singapore have been working non stop to turn her vision into reality. You'd be totally wrong if you think everything was ready and Dubai Properties just threw the design diagrams somewhere to let them collect dust, it doesn't work that way.

Word came through a Eversendai person and I knew from long that Eversendai was interested and was chasing DP for the contract.
