Those aren't even tall. I can't believe things things even get debated.

These pictures from Jiggawhat's link caught my eye as well.

I love what I see too. I hope we will see something much similar as this.

What? Where is this? I can't see anything behind the park... my view is completely blocked! Is there even a sun? [/sarcasm]

Hahahaha. I love those buildings. They're gorgeous. The proposal isn't even that dense. What is the big brou-ha-ha all about? Gosh I hope Seattle's handful of New York transplants get the upper-hand and persuade the City Council.

The Times readers (comments) are in an uproar about this. It blows my mind.

I love those new buildings too. No one will even notice once you add the doo-dads and pokey-out parts, that they're exactly the same. All they need is the car-lot flags, balloons, and a stone entrance drive with a catchy name.

I started posting in defense of this plan. Why do I let these curmudgeons pull me in like this... sigh.

I know .. sorry about that SeaLife. Some days just seem half-assed generally.

Who are those people? And what crawled up their ass? They're such provincial, benighted old cretins. They think they know everything, but they know nothing about urban planning. I can't even read the Times comment section--it makes my pulse race.

I can't read it either. None of those people have even left the state in the last 25 years.

Why are some of you guys still taking Seattle Times commenters seriously? I don't pay attention to them anymore since most of them are trolls and they will not make any difference anyway.

Fucking troglodytes is what they are.

Anyways, I've always envisioned towers on those blocks, but I'm also excited about the build out of the North side Mercer Street and the creation of a decent "avenue" feel. Six lanes with trees in the middle + street walls on both sides = win.

There are no good arguments for height limits in this neighborhood.

I kind of sound like Bill Maher when I say this, but I kind of hope the intellectual elite (you know, the edu-muh-cated people) prevail on this matter.

Vulcan calling it "world class" in the DJC today is kinda embarassing.

That plus "world famous" are indeed very overused.

Valley's going to be a hell of a spot once it's a narrower street with density along it. And I love the infusion of housing.

Exactly!! It's all part of the overall feeling we Americans like to give... What ever we build, 7 Eleven, Trump tower, apartment infill... If its built by American developers then it has to be "World Class"
