from the architect's website, the latest design with a larger parking base and more glass on the sides -

Two 55-storey tall towers at Prabhadevi in Mumbai providing a total of 76 apartments above a 10 storey tall base structure which contains parking for 400 cars.

The project also includes a business centre, a mini theatre, squash courts, a spa and gymnasium. Club amenities are provided alongside an environmental deck on the 11th Floor which also features an infinity lap pool, Jacuzzis, a multipurpose hall and landscaped deck areas along with facilities for children.

76 apartments on 55 floors...another remarkable use of precious land in the city of Mumbai.

Whats the big deal. Maybe some people want big apartments. And Mumbai has heaps of space it can re-develop into highrises.

considering its aimed at the rich you dont want more than 76 apartments. it would lead to more cars, more consumption, more everything

A twin-towered residential complex containing only 76 apartments. Might as well contain about 120 unless you (the developers) are going to shoot for two-floor apartments.

These towers are under construction. Some recent updates from a brochure on CRISIL:

One cant help but question the potential over supply in the future. I guess if all these builders these projects they must be doing some Math. I wonder if there is actually that much of absorption power for the end user for like 25 such projects in a 5 km radius?

yeah but if you think back 10 years ago or the late 90s compare that to now in terms of skyline it has changed quiet a lot, and by 2015 it will be even a bigger change.
