Norwegian will fly from Gatwick to San Juan in Puerto Rico twice weekly from November, As far as I know its the only route from London to that airport.

They are also adding more departures on the New York and Los Angeles route and adds a route to Pula in Croatia.

Will you do me a favor? My cousin from London wants to visit Chicago to see me there for summer. She just requested off her work for vacation on 29 June to 15 July. She has a hard time struggling to find a cheap flight from LON to ORD. I did the same for her, but it was tough. So, please help us.

If you would help us then we'd appreciate that.

She wants a flexible date between 29 June to July 13 or 14. Any airlines. Less than 750 pounds. Thank you.

First off your cousin is probably not in any luck finding flights under 750 pounds. She should have looked at the schedules when they first came out because that was when they were the cheapest. Also it is the busy summer travel season from the US to Britain and vice versa. She would probably be better off connecting in another city that offers flights to London because ORD-LHR-ORD is a very popular market and airlines will have higher ticket prices because they know a lot of people fly it and they can make a lot of money off it.

I can see LHR to ORD via Warsaw on LOT for only 746 pounds. The layovers both ways aren't too shabby. She'd be foolish not to take it.

LOT has plenty of flights via Warsaw during that time for 738 GBP. The cheapest one I could find is with Turkish Airlines via Istanbul for 668 GBP, but that's almost twice the travel time - hardly worth the 70 GBP she would save.

To remain competitive LHR need a third runway approved and constructed. FRA received approval to build their 4th runway and it's already operational.

While it is nice for BA to be expanding into South America (A weak spot in their network) and out of Gatwick, would it make better sense to fly them out of Heathrow, especially since the Lima flight can connect to the LAN Peru hub for better connections within South America?

But isn't it the case that IAG's European hub for South America is Madrid, with the trains-Atlantic flights operated as Iberia?

Speculation that Stansted has been sold to the Chinese and an anouncement is expected on friday with David Cameron present.

(link posted in the Manchester Airport thread earlier, Manchester Airports Group own Stansted)

http://www.routesonline.com/news/29/...nchester-link/

Quote:
Both Cameron and Xi will then attend an event at Manchester Airport (on Friday) when details of the new flight are expected to be announced. This event could also be the location for an announcement on a rumoured investment by Hanian Airlines parent, HNA Group, on the acquisition of a majority stake in MAG Airports.
The current majority owner, a consortium of local authorities in Manchester, probably need the cash.
