I didn't know, Birmingham was so green! I always thought it was a grey and sad town. But as it seems on the photo, I was wrong!

That is its reputation but it is far from being true, must be because of its industrial history and some of its post war redevelopment but on the whole its a very leafy city.

Here is Smileyface's attempt at a pano, not bad I don't think...

Very interesting thread!!! Varsaw has the best skyline in Eastern Europe. As for the EU cities...I will vote for Paris followed by Frankfurt and Rotterdam. Also it's very nice to see that Naples has a good skyline.
And now, just for your info, here in Athens, apart from the well known skyline, that is composed by the hills of Acropolis and Lecabettus in the city centre, we have two other interesting areas. The 1st is ampelokipoi area and the second Maroussi area...

The classical, world known, skyline of Athens...

and the unknown skylines...

Ampelokipoi Area (northeast of the city centre)

Maroussi Area...

Actually I have, and to London too, both quite recently.. I'm just saying London and some other cities feel more dense and "real" than Rotterdam. That's not to say Rdam isn't a really nice city, of course. Anyway, my vote went to Frankfurt because neither London nor Rotterdam beats that IMO.

1 Frankfurt (Beautiful setting of towers in the landsape. Nice landmarks and great urban area underneath it)
2 Rotterdam (Sea of towers at both sides of the maritime river)
3 Warsaw (beautiful historical landmark in the middle of the skyline)
4 canary Wharf (I see it as one skyline)
5 Lyon (Impressing sight over the city when driving from north to south. Not much skyscrapers, but the view is great)

1: Frankfurt (Nice cluster in the centre)
2: Paris (Nice cluster in de Le Defence area)
3: Warshau (Nice highrises but boring buildings)
4: Rotterdam (In comparing with other large skyline-cities. The half of the skycrapers are residentsbuilding and not office buildings.)
5: London (Not cluster at the Docks)

I think Barcelona, Benidorm, Berlin, Birmingham, Frankfurt, Liverpool, London, Madrid, Manchester, Monte Carlo, Paris, Rotterdam and Warsaw have impressive skylines.

I agree, but if Liverpool Waters becomes a reality (which with Shanghai tower the start of it) theres no reason it can't be better.
