RawLee and tunderke that is the most beautiful photo - I didn't think SCF could be so romantic!

Nyuszi nobody is answering your call for more photos so I have dug around for some photos.

I haven't looked in the mirror for some time so I think this is me (maybe some Hungarian ancestry there?):

And since I am feeling romantic here is my girlfriend:

We share an interest in music!

But she won't be photographed with me because I like classical, she likes pop

Maybe she also won't be photographed with me because I am sort of, like, a bit dead...

Could you ask her to make some posts here on SSC just to prove you belong to each other? I don't know in which topic she'd be interested in though or which fits to her IQ the best. Perhaps Economy?

(actually i prefer tushys not big bums, but the face is cute nevertheless!)

Yes by coincidence her post-Doctoral research specialisation is CE economies but she apologises that with her academic commitments and a busy concert schedule she doesn't have time to make posts. Also we dropped the camera in the bath during a "photography session" so no more pix sorry!

Where is your Hungarian guys' patriotism? You have a picture of your greatest musician and all you focus on is an American flim-flam girl with big bazookas! OK, so we guys are the same all round the world!

I guess after this I'll have to post a real photo?

OK you waited for 10 months tunderke and I have been feeling guilty all this time. I guess it is important to prove that I don't actually look like Franz Lizst. So the wait is over. The main reason for so long is I had to find an appropriate setting and it was a long time before we got back to our favourite Hungarian cafe the "21" in Double Bay, Sydney (quite a few Hungarians in this area).

Here goes (gulp!):

As you can just see at bottom we are enjoying cabbage rolls (I don't know what they're called in Hungarian). Of course I forgot the camera so had to use mobile phone and I was holding it so it was hard for me to be very much in the picture. Also I decided my Czech wife is so beautiful she should be the star (she will kill me when she finds out about this!!

). And then the man outside the window is also more interesting than me so that's all you get....

(My wife doesn't look like Mariah Carey either - much better

)

We are going to Czech Republic in June and July and possibly side trip to Vienna. I would love to go to Budapest especially after talking so much with you guys but it will depend on time and money. We'll see how we go.

Now you can put this thread away for another 10 months!

Originally I had six but I had to enlarge to 27. That's when the Brussels police caught me - crimes against the EU.

Anyway definitely I won't be getting Hungarian if Mrs historyworks and the kids are with me!
