Translation: The construction would start to the end of this year with an aprox investment of $120 000 000 dollars.

Right behind Galerias Valle Oriente Mall--it looks like the land where is planned to be built is in San Pedro, but it's actually on the Monterrey side. So, it's official, this one would be Monterrey's tallest building and it would be surrounded by other good projects.

Along with Costanera Center in Santiago de Chile, I think Mexican projects are the best in whole Latin America....

Good one, i hope they can build it. Monterrey is very beautiful with all that cerros (mountains) crossing the urban sprawl. It just need some height.

Here's an English translation of the Architect Enrique Norten interview regarding Torre Fundadores

------------------------------------------------------------

Will be build in Monterrey, Latin America's Tallest Building

Architect Enrique Norten

By Abraham Vázquez

Monterrey, México (19 mayo 2008).-

El edificio más alto de AL

Planned as a mix use building, this project known temporary as Torre Fundadores, in Valle Oriente, will have 70 floors and a height of approximately 290 meters.

This project, will leave Torre Reforma in Mexico City down in hight with 244 meters, and Torre Mayor, the current Latin American tallest building also with 244 meters

"We're going to be the tallest in Latinamerica", said Norten, whom was in Monterrey over the weekend working in the project. "Its a Skyscraper, an important building for any city in the world"

The Inversion amount will rise $120 million, put by a mexican private group and an american group, lead by Jose Villarreal and Carlos Rousseau, from Orange Investment. Construction expect to be 130 thousand square meters.

This Constuction will be located in Valle Oriente, behind Galerias Valle Oriente Mall, and it's planned to start its construction next year.

This project, he assured, will be different, then the one with the same name announced the beggining of this year with 54 floors, Although, Norton said, the new renders for this project, can't be show, that would happend next month"
