What's the cause of these fires? Has it anything to do with the way buildings are being build in Dubai or does the hot climate have a certain influence on these incidents or maybe the working conditions?

According to a news report, there was a fire at one of the JBR towers a week ago. Smoke had filled the tower and all residents were evacuated, not allowed to return to their units for a considerable length of time. One resident complained of having had to evacuate from shower, down 30 floors.
I read this news online, but can't find it now. Does anyone else know about this?

(Getty Images) FRESH FIRE: The Amwaj 4 tower in Dubai's Jumeriah Beach Residence (pictured) has been evacuated. (Getty Images) An entire tower at Dubai Marina’s Jumeriah Beach Residence was evacuated on Tuesday afternoon, after a blaze broke out in the building. JBR developer Dubai Properties issued a statement on Wednesday confirming a domestic fire had broken out in an apartment at 2pm. "The fire was quickly contained, causing no major damage. Dubai Properties would like to remind all residents to use caution while handling flammable substances," the statement said. Story continues below ↓ advertisement An eyewitness told Arabian Business on Tuesday fire alarms went off in the Amwaj 4 tower, after smoke filled the building. Her flatmate was forced to abandon her shower and run down 36 floors to the ground, along with other residents, she said. The fire had occurred on the 30th floor, the eyewitness said. The fire is one of several incidences to hit the JBR in recent weeks, including a suicide and a murder.

2nd time if not the 4th
Blaze rips through Al Quoz warehouses
A blaze ripped through two warehouses in the Al Quoz area of Dubai on Friday causing more than $272,000 worth of damage, the latest in a string of fires to hit the industrial estate. Firefighters battled throughout the day and well into the night to put out the fire, which started in a perfume warehouse around 7.30am, UAE daily The National reported on Sunday. Adverse weather conditions made things difficult for emergency services and the fire soon spread to a neighbouring warehouse, which also stored perfume. The blaze was eventually brought under control and finally extinguished around 10.00pm. However, the flammable nature of the products stored in the warehouse meant teams were on standby all night and into Saturday in case the fire flared up again. Twenty-eight firefighters and 13 pumps from five different stations across Dubai were used in the operation, according to The National. No injuries were reported. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze, but civil defence said poor storing of the products could have been partly to blame. Meanwhile, in Abu Dhabi a fire gutted fire furniture shops in the old seaport area on Saturday. Civil defence said nobody was injured.

And why should a fire break out there in the first place?
