Six warehouses razed in Al Quoz industrial area blaze

Dubai: A fire destroyed six paint warehouses in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3 on Saturday afternoon.

A spokesperson from Dubai Civil Defence said no injuries were reported in the fire which broke out at about 4:30pm.

The spokesperson said firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about two hours after which they started the cooling operation.

Dense smoke filled the sky of Dubai and could be seen from far away. Teams from Al Quoz, Jumeirah, Al Satwa and Al Rashidiyah civil defence stations extinguished the fire.

A fire expert from Dubai Police started an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

Prior incident

This is the second fire in a warehouse since the beginning of this year.

The earlier fire broke out in Al Quoz Industrial area on January 4. No injuries were reported, but the construction materials warehouse was destroyed.

ok, the first one i can answer... i figure that at least some of these fires are for insurance money.... burn down the stocks, collect the money from insurance and pickup and leave...

OK, I too understood the "jist" of the insinuation. But I was after some kind of proof or evidence, or is it just pure speculation?

Fire breaks out in Al Sadda Publishing building in Dubai

Police are investigating what cause the fire that destroyed the distribution centre of Al Sadda Publishing

Dubai: A fire broke out in the building belonging to Al Sadda Publishing, located behind the Al Bayan office in Dubai.

Their distribution centre was destroyed in the blaze on Wednesday.

Firefighters and Dubai police rushed to the scene. No one was reported killed or injured in the fire.
