Right, because a pool can't possibly be indoors! The latest design has neither a solid roof nor terraces, so an outdoor pool would be impossible.

I'm pretty sure in one of the renders to pool was on the roof top. I may be wrong.

1. It's a full reinforced concrete structure, not your usual steel tower. They hardly sway.

2. A pool on top would actually counter-balance the sway of the tower even more, acting as ballast.

The sway of the tower would be much too minimal on a non-windy day to feel it even 1,400' above dubai.

it would act like a mass damper, but think about that. the mass goes the opposite way the tower sways. you would have a wave pool if you put it on the top and a good storm came through.

Nonsense. AltinD already said it, the tower is entirely made from reinforced concrete. Even in a strorm it would barely sway at all. The only event where you would probably notice some waving of the water is during a strong earthquake.

Of course they do. The difference is how much of it the inhabitants would actually sense and feel.

The top of the core is now as tall as the 4th floor above the podium of the tower next to it (MAG 218)

Couple of photos from yesterday. The access bridge is at level B2 and they're currently working on the 6th floor / podium level:

That's it, though there will be a podium around it for some 6-7 above ground floors.

....... and before you ask, it has more or less the same dimensions as the other towers around.

here are the renders again. havn't seen it before, but these columns are indeed really thick. make the space for windows quite limited.

Ok, it's clear from the render that there will be indeed a pool on the roof.

Thinking of the "quality cladding" they used for Marina 101, I'm having some doubts
