even this forum is not political forum,but am glad to answer you,darfur is west of Sudan,the size of France,or even more.
the answer is oil,and even uranium.
the civil war in sudan lasted 20 years,and darfur lasted only 4years,the media play a role,unfair government also and corruption play a role,lack of infrastructure.........and finally sick people who are hungry for power.

another thing,its also surrounded by another countries like chad ,where they have worst case,but in this case n'djamena on the west and and troubled east.few people or even families enjoy the Chadian oil.

My bad didn't mean to start political discusions on this forum. it's great i love this forum about other absolutly things going on in Sudan . i'm from CONGO and SUDAN is our good neiboghr and good luck . i don't want to get political , it doesn't concern congo , we have serious problems for ourselves.

Good job again karthoum is doing better than those countries that are critising them.

It is stunning, the country has such beauty, history and wonders, it can be an amazing tourist destination if not for political troubles and bad press received in certain media outlets.

media(newspapers,TV,mags...etc) is really a nice job,take one story and make it the starwars news,
here is one nice story"an ant fell in a hole in the street",media can take this story and keep tell it over and over until everyone knows it"

Darfur has a problem,and darfur needs to solve it with solutions not guns and forces,because i think the army in Sudan,is more stronger than any gang or what ever they call them.the same going in Philippines and those people in the south of Philippines,they don't need more guns,they need a table and chairs,to set down and talk.

20 years war of between north and south sudan,civil war claim the sudanese lives,and leaves.not even animals made it.The reasons ,some known and some hidden,but at the end here comes the table and the chairs,that made the changes,thanks to the wise man Dr John garang a true sudanese hero ,who stood up for his right but also sat down to talk.

another reason is that darfur is the saudi arabia of africa.
am talking about oil here.so ..................if that oil comes out and (and lets say darfur became a country -lock land),how this oil will be exported.its a pipeline but not to portsudan,it will be a long (verylone pipeline to.........) where a lot of corruption will happen until that oil reaches the ocean for exportation.
