Madrid in all its styles

As Diego has starded a wonderful thread based in classical Madrid and is sending tons of Pictures and I don´t want to interfere, I start this thread based mainly in pictures of my own showing different aspects of Madrid. I started another thread of Madrid in the cityscapes section, but as the majority of the pictures were of mine I´ve been suggested to start a new thread in this section. Anyway, no more words and lets go to the images.

Details of the city:

Sociedad General de Autores:

Conrado Martín house:

An entrance near calle Génova:

Gran Vía:

Carlos III at the Puerta del Sol:

The museum of the city:

Instituto Cervantes:

Gran Vía:

Inside a café in Gran Vía:

Plaza de la Ópera:

The Royal Palace:

Museo Thyssen:

Casillas, Real Madrid´s goalkeeper:

Mac Donalds in Gran Vía, this place used to be a jewellery:

Gran Vía´s façade:

Reina Sofía, image by Patraix:

The Fallen ANgel, statue in Retiro Park, image by Patraix:

Gran Vía:

Some of the picres taken from the other thread:

Barrio de Salamanca:

Atocha:

Príncipe Pío tube station:

San Francisco el Grande near the Royal Palace:

Plaza de España:

New York style:

Excellent shots, I stayed in that Metropol Hostle when I went with my school trip. Not at all nice on the inside but the facade is lovely! Great pictures all round.

Love that city. A little too ornate in some ways but chic as hell.

The River is called Manzanares. There isnt any lake inside the city. And the sea (Mediterranean sea) is about less than 400km far I think, in Valencia. But you can go also to San Sebastian (about 500km in the north, Atlantic Ocean).

El río se llama Manzanares. No hay ningún lago dentro de la ciudad. El mar, está a menos de 400km en Valencia (el Mediterráneo), pero puedes ir a San Sebastián (sobre 500km al norte, el Atlántico).

We looked at mountains until dawn, and then when dawn came, it was too pretty for me - there was pink and blue and gold, in the sky, and on icy places, brilliant pink and gold flashes, and the snow was colored too, and I said," Oh," and sighed; and each moment was more beautiful than the one before; and I said, " I love you, Momma." Then I fell asleep in her arms.
That was happiness then.

Thanks for your comments, my friends.

In a few days I promise to post new images.

I´m just waiting for a better weather. Lasts weeks have been very rainy, but it seems that next days will be sunny so I´ll take new pictures, some of not famous places.

Thanks again friends.
