After long delay, Wales overpass project underway:

Very happy this project finally got underway.. Northwood's east and west sides are now connected and you wont have to go thru toledo then oregon to get from one side of northwood to the other. This will also be a shortcut for the people on the eastern part of northwood to get to i-75.. it shortens the trip by a couple miles (instead of taking 795 from 280-75) This will also help relieve traffic in Walbridge a little when its done. (Many people just bypass Drouillard rd when going from Walbridge to Oregon area and take 280) Im pretty big on this project because I will use these overpasses often due to living just south of walbridge and i have many friends all over oregon, northwood, and the east side.

Good! I know plenty of people will complain about our hard earned tax dollars going toward this project and blah blah blah but I'm extremely happy to see the ball moving forward on the project. This building is the centerpiece to our skyline and I can't wait to see it lit up again. I love seeing all the positive additions to our downtown, the Steam Plant, Prommenade Park, The Metro Park on the river, etc. Theses are all great things to help grow our city.

No complaining here! I just cant wait to see the finished product! This building is right smack dab in the middle of the arena, the convention center and fifth third field. Prime location for a hotel and business.. I always wished the new Owens Corning building was built vertically instead of the long horiztontal design it has.. the building does look pretty sweet but Id love to see a new tall building in toledo in my lifetime ( the OI was completed just before i was born i believe)

Im leaning towards the dog park at the old south YMCA site... Its got good location, the neighborhoods near it are still somewhat decent and its a decent sized area to put one of these in at. Maybe make a portion of the park into disc golf field.. Not sure if the baseball fields are still at the site or not

I think they should expand the zoo into that area.

That would be a cool idea... but the zoo already asks for a lot of money thru levies. if the Y donated the land to the zoo and someone donated money for construction then i would be more for that plan

the marina is a beautiful place but I wouldnt pay to dock there if there is no security.. east side kids can go have open season on the boats if they want to and im actually surprised no boats have been broken into or vandalized yet. If Dashing Pacific ever gets there asses in gear and develops the land this marina will be a hot spot for boaters. What ever happened to the jet express boats that were supposed to do runs from toledo to PIB? I think the Jet has done this 2 times and it was like 3 years ago now..
