I'm amazed at how much you photographed in your short stay.
Impressive as usual!

Awesome pics mate!

I really love Melbourne's architecture. The old seemingly blends in with the new. Superb!

Thank you - I agree, it is something that Aucklanders are too scared to try, we can learn so much from Melbourne. Thanks for the comment.

Dannii Minougue (spelling?) lives in this building y'know

I can't believe you managed to make the Jam Factory look good. I'm really not a fan of that style of architecture (loud and bulky). You guys really do have talent!

There's this cake store in Carlton that you really should try next time you're here. It's called Brunetti, and it's on Faraday street just off Lygon. You'd be amazed by the cakes, they literally are too amazing to eat. The man that established the place came to Australia for the Melbourne Olympics, he was the Italian team's official pastry chef (God knows why an Olympic team needs a pastry chef...). But anyway, the cakes and hot chocolates are awesome, google it! If you visit again, I promise I'll take you guys there

THANKS mate, you are so kind we have so many people to meet in Melbourne, I get the feeling that we will have more friends over there than we have here in Auckland - fantastic. Two of my Kiwi mates have already moved over to Melbourne, my uncle and his lover (a gay couple - who I have never met) live in Brighton and my neighbour from Johannesburg also lives in Melbourne now ... we definitely belong there, I feel like a lost whiff of perfume in a fart factory

What floor does your friend live on? He's apartment is on the wrong side of the building for the views:

And yes there are a lot of 'gay' residents; it's one big dance party!

Top floor (double level), the dome is at his balcony - I am not sure if that helps ?

WOW - what a view, he is definitely on the wrong side.

lol

just move here quickly....

I was having great time today - lunch at Richmond and then visited art gallery for the ART DECO exhibition - it is frickin awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Gallery's Winter Blockbuster exhibition.. the largest one of them all!

check the sites

http://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/artdeco/

http://www.visitvictoria.com/display...7C3ADFF8ED97F/

http://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/

will post the photos later.....

and went to Carlton for Borders bookshop (checked some erotic books there ! ) and then Brunetti for cakes (refer to Citything post) and had dinner there in Markov restaurant... just soo Melbourne.. the place was hidden at the laneway and inside was so buzzing and groovy!

we met two Queensland girls during lunch time. They were here for shopping and cultural trip in Melbourne..and they just raved about this city...

i am so glad i am back home....

YOU MUST MOVE HERE TOMORROW!!!!
