WTC Tower IV is part of an office buildings complex, which for now consists of 3 towers, two "twins" and the third one is lower, though with a similar cw. They are located in the neighbourhood Pocitos Nuevo, next to Montevideo Shopping Mall. This is a neighbourhood that has improved a lot in the last couple of years, it is close to two main avenues, there is plenty of transportation from and to here, and it's near to Buceo Yatch Port, one of the most upscale places in Montevideo.

You can see part of Montevideo in this pic:

WTC is located in the place I'm pointing..........................right now

There you can see a white "L" shaped building, this is the Montevideo Shopping Mall. This place is surrounded by WTC Towers, as you can see with this other pic:

[IMG][/IMG]

The arquitects of the whole complex are Ernesto Kimelman and David Ruben Flom, with the support from Estudio Lecueder, a Real State company.

You can find more info in English about the wholw WTC and WTC IV in their websites:

http://worldtradecenter.com.uy/

http://www.wtc4.com.uy/

These are the last pics we have, since no one has been able to go there and take new ones:

Hope this would be useful to you.

Bye!

Actually, there is only one office complex, with these 4 buildings... it's just that no one though about a more creative name for each one of them than "WTC1", "WTC2", "WTC3", "WTC4"...

There has been in these last few years government regulation that allowed the construction of the so called "Zona Francas"... these are places where offices or industries can work without paying taxes, with the condition that they can't offer their products or services INSIDE the country. These buildings are, therefore occupied by Outsourcing bussiness, Call Centers, Banks, etc.

but you are wrong because only the "world trade centre free zone" is a free zone(zona franca), so that's not the reason. Probably, there are a lot of WTC in Montevideo, because the complex is localized in a perfect place inside the city, and they, bought all the solars

This is the newest picture we have of the construction site. It has actually reached street level now, so we hope construction to get faster from now on
