mostly because it is box shaped. i think by making a building box shaped you can't make it easily special, nor ruin any skyline with it. And Shenzhen already has quite a few unique projects so a box shaped tower is great i guess

Who knows. So many large areas of Guangzhou and Shenzhen are being cleared. Seems like the whole city is being redeveloped as they are becoming the first cities in the mainland to reach high development + high income status within this decade.
