The demolition work of the building named INFRA is still blocked owing to the very last resident living in it. While the 39 other tenants accepted the relocations proposed over the last 3 years, a lady named Bouchra carries on refusing systematically to leave her flat despite heaps of previous proposals. The thing is, after ckecking her situation, she was found to live in another council flat far from La Défense, letting her sister occupying the remaining flat in the INFRA building. She was therefore sent to Court, but given those 'details', she's unlikely to win her trial. The verdict will be announced on 31 november.

Because of that bitch, Emin Iskenderov (Hermitage Boss) cannot start the demolition work.

Reminder: there are three Damiers (buildings) to be destroyed to make way for his Twin Towers.

To date, there's one tenant 'remaining' (in a manner of speaking) in the INFRA building, 60 tenants in the BRETAGNE building, & 10 in the ANJOU one.

Given the wobbly situation of that damned lady, Iskenderov is very likely to be given the demolition green light on 31 November. To be continued...

I find it kinda pathetic that the French have too much of an inferiority complex to even dare to build anything taller than the Eiffel tower, as if it had some symbolic significance akin to Victoria peak. Victoria peak is a natural phenomenon, something that demands the respect people with sufficient restraint from hubris will understand. But the Eiffel tower is the very symbol of French engineering ingenuity. By limiting their ambitions with this project are they not implying that they believe France reached its peak in the 19th century, and do not feel confident enough to dare out-do a 120 year old feat? It's a recognition of their own failure. For heaven's sake, the Eiffel tower wasn't even intended to be permanent!

The tours Hermitage will look quite taller than the Eiffel Tower actually, given that the top of the Eiffel Tower is essentially an antenna.

That info is wrong. The height of the tours Hermitage is 320 meters precisely, and this has nothing to do with the Eiffel Tower, it's due, claims the developer, to the civil aviation administration requirements.

Dude, you need to be born in France to realize how fastidious it is to build a tall building, especially in Paris...Parisians, since Montparnasse Tower, are very reluctant to towers, not to say horrified. The single pronunciation of the word 'tower' makes them passed out. And even if a tall project is unveiled (such as Tour Triangle, Tour Phare, Tours Hermitage Plaza), those damned residents SYSTEMATICALLY try their very best to make those projects fail, they 'fight' till the end, very well helped by our STUPID laws, the latter being outdated & allowing those pain in the ass to delay the projects for several years (for instance Phare & Hermitage Plaza are very likely to be 4 or 5 years late, if they're not abandoned by then).

This is WHY it is extremely difficult to make an ambitious scheme come true in this country, more than anywhere else in the world...

The start is still announced in spring 2012 for Phare (official communication) but every body knows that a 1 billion projet will not begin until the last opposition will be purged by law (and it can take several years).
