None of those Kanye. Although the scheme has been slightly scaled down from 323m to 320m (supposedly to satisfy the air regulations), the number of floors has changed a bit more significantly, from 94 & 92 floors to 86 & 85 floors.

The building permits for the Tours Hermitage have been posted on site.

I quite second that.
We should keep in mind that the late Tour Sans Fin had been granted a "permis de construire" too back in the early 1990's..And it was never built.
Now it's another time it's another project...let's keep fingers crossed for those Hermitage twins.

I think it's a great development for Paris, but I think these towers would of probably been better being built in a more built up area, like New York, where the top heaviness wouldn't of been so distracting from the skyline. They stick out a bit too much in Paris.

I'm not bashing them, I do like them, I love Foster, I lived in france for a while, I speak french, it's just my opinion that they'd be better suited for a more built up area or city

Is there any plans for a cluster to form around it?

Cyril, as far as I remember, this project was to you just communication when unveiled back in 2009...you got it all wrong once again...even though there's still a long way to go before seeing those twins rising, the thing is: Hermitage Plaza not only is communication, it does move on, slowly but surely (as always in this country), that's what you guys need to bear in mind.

Now, let's be patient & careful once more as there are still a few obstacles to overcome.

While we shouldn't be overly optimistic, it's still quite a step IMO.

Our british comrades stay true to themselves towards us (on the Shard's thread)...

Yes but those two towers look absolutely atrocious.

the Tours Hermitage are inelegant compared to the Shard anyway - I think they look kinda stupid

Don't judge all of us based on those comments, Jex - I think the Hermitage Towers look absolutely fantastic, and I'm sure many others agree with me. I'm not fussed at all about them being taller than the Shard - I do think they should be a bit more 'central' in the La Defense cluster, but the towers themselves are great - tall, imposing and will give Paris a new pair of landmarks that will hopefully be just as much an icon of Paris as the Shard is now for London.

It's a human thing, no matter where you are your neighbour will be jealous if your house is bigger.

Actually both sides should be careful with bashing each other since hermitage is being build by russians and shard by arabs

Sorry dude, should have added "some" indeed...actually those childish comparisons/debates piss me off to be honest...for instance even though I'm french it does not prevent me from liking the british projects (besides I'm used to posting on the british forum), I like Shard's shape a lot, I love 20FS/Beetham Tower, but the Pinnacle really is the project I'm looking forward to. Sorry about that Skyscrapersuperman, didn't mean to generalise, thank God, there are openminded people in the UK.

Back on topic.

Haha, it's no problem. Yeah I've seen you around the UK forums a lot, it's good to know our projects have a lot of international support, and I believe the projects in France deserve the same. I'll be looking forward to seeing these towers go up!
As for your last comment - yes I definitely have to agree with you!

I love these towers... great for British architecture.. but its the situation of them I don't like.. perhaps if they were to be sat behind other buildings.. or amongst them anyway, they wouldn't look so out of place.. they obscure a lot behind them.
