Bouygues Takes Stake in $3.3 Billion Hermitage Towers Project

Quote:
French builder and real estate developer Bouygues SA has taken a minority stake in Hermitage Plaza, a 2.9 billion-euro ($3.3 billion) project to build two skyscrapers in the business district of La Defense near Paris.
“We’re putting our technical credibility on the table,” Bernard Mounier, the chief executive officer of Bouygues Batiment Ile-de-France, said at a press conference in Paris Tuesday. He declined to provide details of Bouygues’s investment.
The stake was bought from Hermitage Group, whose Chief Executive Officer Emin Iskenderov said that details of the financing, as well as the start date for the project, will be announced soon.
The twin 320-meter tall towers designed by Foster+Partners will include 540 luxury apartments, a five-star hotel, offices and shopping areas. The project has been delayed in recent years as building permits have been challenged. Some appeals may still take place, Mounier said.

The construction site of the Twin's power pack is already under development and must be definitely completed at month's end ( from what workmen say there )....

News about Tours Hermitage

December 30!!

If, as is likely, the Conseil d'Etat rejects their final appeal (their appeals were already rejected by the administrative tribunal in July 2012 and then by the administrative court of appeal in October 2014), we will be at the end of the long judicial road regarding this project, and the last 20 or so tenants who resist relocation will become evictable by force starting on April 1, 2016 (when the so-called "Winter truce" ends in France).

Is it just me who waits for the towers for around 5 years and got used to them or the design is really a bit outdated already?

Maybe it's time to follow one recent exampe and ask BIG to redesign another Foster's work ?
