Yes, but not for long. Hiranandani Upscale's Bayview will have 36 floors.Not sure how tall Tata's Crescent Lake Homes in Oragadam will be. 32 floors I think. |

Max height allowed so far is 100 metres for all - including the height of Headroom, Lift Room & Lighting Arrester.
Who will design to be the tallest in reality - to wait & see. |

Does the max limit of 100 metres covers the whole of the Chennai Metropolitan Area, including the central (corporation) region? I think the FSI limits the height within the corporation limits.

As I mentioned in some other thread, the upper limit for Chennai MSBs can be even more than 100m as the new Doppler radars will be multi location based and will not hamper vertical growth.
The stumbling block is the CMDA & DTCP DCR and Fire & Rescue Dept NOC. I hope post Local Body elections, the new Govt will address this issue. |
