Unless your computer is the reason for the game shutting down, of course it wont shut down due to the amount of plugins you have, alone.

It can be due to conflicting mods/content, or plugins that simply carry bugs with them, you may also be lacking a dependency, altough that should usually only lead to graphical content missing. You will simply need to troubleshoot the game and find out which lot/bat/mod or what have you is making the game crash. If you have added many plugins at once it gets harder to troubleshoot, but usally there are some plugins that are more suspicious than others.

It is not a bad habit to read the readme files, at least for major and important, or just odd (anything that actually modifies the actual simulation of the game or uses tricks to achieve things that would normally not be possible in SC4), downloads before adding them to the game, either. It ends up saving you a lot of trouble .

If you want to speed up the game, by the way, id recommend the datpacker from sc4devotion. It works superbly. In fact the main issue keeping me away from playing SC4RH nowadays is not loading times, but the limits of the game interface which makes it take ages to find what you want to use when you have 5-6 gigabytes of plugins (and that is in datpacked active only content).

Well like (Alle) said, SC4 only shuts down if there is conflict within the plugin folder. Otherwise it should run fine unless , u have a slow PC or MAC. Although it will shut down if u keep making large cities , but not for at least a few hours usual 4 hours.

Heres my latest Highway Pasta Mess.
City of Gotland (phase 1 of 7)

Day

U can clearly see the Urban Highway in the Downtown , & Financial Districts.

Sunset

I plan more Highways around and possible a mini Big Dig project , through the heart & of course close up's of the Jams , on the Highways.
Night

Stayed tune for more Highway Madness

Mwhahahhahahahhahah

Yeah, after a while you just get used to ignoring those idiots

@enschede-er: the problem might be that you do have the waterpumps and the coverage, but that you don't have enough capacity to supply your city with water. In that case you need to build more waterpumps

you can turn them in to a lama with a cheat. You can also download the stupid news ticker mod. Don't know if it works..

Thanks for the help Alle and Nexis. I think it's trouble in the plug in folder. I just resetted this computer a few days ago. and it has windows vista, so it's real fast. no problems with that.. I think I have to remove all the plug in stuff. because I downloaded all of them on the same day..

guys let get back on topic please if you have questions start a thread in SC4 forum , otherwise only post pictures & comments here! I don't want this to turn into the Sumtra Thread.

Now for a coastal City

Name: Yoshi Beach
Population: 45,000
Location: Island Republic of Jersey
County: Metropolis Coastal

A unique Highway layout allows traffic around the Financial District without major problems. Allowing Southern Bound traffic not to take Downtown Expressway but rather the The Bend Bypass.

Thats it for now!

@Nexis: looks good, but isn't it weird that you can only enter the motorway from three places? There are no other exits...

Hehe , yeah , that was a rushed city, so the highway wasn't planned right!

Now we switch the Terrain to Desert Mod

And to RHW Highway Setup, along the Sunshine Coast.

City of Newport

Hague River Tunnel via SuperHighway 9 (SH-9)

Looks promising Nexis, but, your on- and off ramps are placed in a lethal fashion.

Have you considered what it means to safety to have an off ramp positioned just after an on ramp?

Generally, your cities have an american flavor to them.

By the way, where does the electricity and other necessities come from? When i did my region, ca 1/4th of a big, industry-focused city tile, was used for power, garbage and water management etc, services it supplied to the neighbouring cities.
