Lol, I wish! The WFC is all set to undergo a major re-fit, with about 4 Million SF of leases set to turn over the next couple of years. By then, it would have surrendered its current dominance of the BPC area to 1 WTC.

No that was auto correction by my iPhone. I don't know why it did that

The marina that cuts into Battery Park City would be some prime real estate if it were filled in. Why hasn't this been done?

Because not every inch of Manhattan should be an office building. And part of the reason why the WFC is such prime commercial real estate is because of the park, and the marina.

There is plenty of other space in Manhattan for office buildings. There is no need to ruin what is one of the nicest parts of BPC with an office building that wouldn't fit with the rest of the WFC.

Can we stay on topic?

That sounds like a very nice idea. Maybe they could build a twin to 1WTC on that place

All of Batter Park City is landfill. They're speaking of extending BPC north. Thetefore, there's no need to fill in the beautiful marina.

No twin the idea is for WFC. The hotel Penn should be the first thing toss in that landfill. That's what I was trying to say lol. There would be a supertall on the sight of the old hotel Penn and a supertall stand on the old hotel Penn.

You only get that kind of history in NYC.

I doubt it. This project won't be built for several years since the Hudson Yards and the WTC are offering much cheaper space. Vornado is looking for $125/sf here, which is reasonable, but Related is leasing space at cost for around $70/sf.

When the awful World Trade Center was built, there where someone complained?

This tower is great, is a contribution to the skyline, ESB can not be alone forever

I like think of it like that. Esb needs a partner, not a rival.

I like this building because it looks real good. All that other stuff, I really don't care about.

The ESB battle isn't a factor for me. I'm piss ESB owner tried to block it but that's about it.

I added some renderings to the first post of this thread.

If you know any visualizations of better quality, feel free to share them so I'll update it again.

Will this tower have retail space, and if, will it be connected to the Manhattan Mall?
