guys take it easy. I am from Rawalpindi and we are also experiencing the same. Punjab government is not spending money here due to shortage of funds. In 2008 elections Sharifs won all of their seats from Rawalpindi but haven't invested in any infrastructure projects yet. Considering that we should not take it negative as they are giving priority to Lahore which is also part of Punjab. Lahore is provincial capitol and is also part of Punjab. Lahore being a mega city is far behind in infrastructure than even Rawalpindi. So any development there would be good for our economy. Obviously we all want Multan to progress fast. We all need to show some unity here and inshalla all cities of Pakistan would progress fast. I agree this amount is less and Punjab government should spend money wisely.
M4 motorway is in progress which will connect northern part of Pakistan to Multan. Then I am seeing federal government spending some money to Multan. So my dear friends be patient development is coming. We need to look at the bigger picture. |

There's never been as much development in Multan as nowadays because the Prime Minister is from Multan and so was the ex-FM.
The problem these days is that since Musharraf left Pakistan's economy has gone bankrupt. There's no money for any development anywhere in the country and there's hardly any infrastructure being built anywhere. Even in Karachi the only projects that are still being built are the private ones. So the problem is with the corrupt politicians and the bankrupt economy. We need a massive economic revival before development starts again. And I fully support 32 provinces for better administration and to spread development around the country. Not just Punjab, the whole country needs to be reorganized. |

Hi 5 to that. I am loving how Multan is getting so much and attention and hopefully it will come somewhere near to where Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad are by the time Gillani's term ends. Bahawalpur is actually really pretty even now I don't think it needs any special attention of sort. One city that definately needs attention and I'll be really really happy for it is Peshawar. Peshawar is definately one city in Pakistan that I can see thriving if it were given the right attention and the security situation were properly sorted out.
