Here are some more

This is in autumn. Yes, Norway have 4 seasons of weather type.

Train towards city center.

Siemens wagons in winter. Looks nice beside the snow I think.

This is actually the entrance to Nydalen underground station in Oslo. Its on the Ring line.

Snow and sun at the same time. Let this picture cool you down

Can someone else also post some pics please? hehehe

Very nice metro, although I'm not sure the trains are as big as you say they are, they look quite small actually :L Still nice though

Before opening a thread about a "new" subject, ever look at the "thread finder" :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1080787

"Oslo public transports" was already in the list:

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=642824

Oslo have been changing and now there is no red wagons anymore. I felt that putting up this thread would mark that.

It's been marked in the aforementioned Oslo | Public Transportation thread.

That's an amazing project there. Oslo already has an unbelievably comprehensive metro system, given its relatively low population and density. I imagine that a lot of the success has been from the central tunnel, allowing a strong city core. The proposed ring line is certainly unique!

Two larger renders of the station designs that were presented along with the map (not sure how realistic these designs are though):

Nice infrastructure. I like the new Løren T, it's very well designed. Nice clean-cut modern architecture, very Scandinavian.

Sorry to revive an old post but I didn't notice it before. This looks quite uninviting. Are they planning on cheering the place up a little or is that the finished product?

It's just a passageway under the tracks in suburbia land. Hardly a place people will spend any amount of time at either way. But that's probably is the finished product, yes.

Yeah, I realised it wouldn't be a hang-out spot, however, it just doesn't look very safe to me. Perhaps this is my English impression - we were taught to be afraid of dark underpasses like that from an early age so perhaps it's more me than there being anything wrong with the design.

Complete contrast to Løren T, which looks absolutely fantastic as a new station render.

If look at the walls then you will see that they have put up plenty with lights there.

I think lightning schemes like this and proper designs of the actual stations (like Løren) are more important than to amount of concrete used in the underpasses. The litter shouldn't have been there though.

You're kidding me right, the rail network in Oslo breaks down a lot in winter, hence the reason why for the next 3 years Oslo's network will be closed for 45-60 days each summer to fix it.
