It's snowing here!!!

When I woke up this morning we had about a half-inch around me. Must have been really localized 'cause when I got to work they had none there at all.

Just started snowing in the Belltown area around 7:00 am.

Nothing fell on Vashon yesterday (if it did it was gone by the time I got up).

Last night, we had nasty hail attack at First Hill neighborhood. I couldn't stand hail, they hurts! I would trade hail for snow or rain!

Just started snowing again (sometime around 1:00). Doesn't appear to be sticking.

Damn, now thats a forecast. I doubt this one turns into a monster, but you nailed the date and it is definitely snowing across the region.

I'm starting to want the good old rain to come back. There has not been much new snow in the mountains and forecasts keep coming up dry for weeks on end. Anyone sick of just having clouds around and barely and sun?

I agree, I need more sunshine...had enough with gloomy days. I'm from California, so give me some time.

Well,

For those of you who like split-flow weather then you are going to love the next 7-10 days as the current pattern looks to hold firm and allow virtually no moisture and cold air in as the Upper Jet is splitting out around 140W.

For those of you who like filtered sunshine and cool temps then you'll be happy to know that your wish for the current pattern to continue will be granted.

And for those of you who are unhappy no matter the weather here.. All I can do is offer up this advice: F******* MOVE !!!!

So as some of you may know the weather lately has sucked around here.

When I say sucked I mean the following:

Benign and non-eventful

Mild and somewhat sunny with a consistent split-flow pattern....

Stay Tuned.... Details at 11.....

It felt like November today, especially as I was driving home from work.

My girlfriend is a recent midwest transplant whom I promised some sweet extratropical midlatitude windstorms this winter. What gives?

It's called a Neutral ENSO or Typical Winter ( if there is a such a thing )

So basically you can bet on almost anything happening during a Neutral ENSO year which is what we're going through this year.

Case in point: If it happens ... Cool
If it doesn't: Whatever
