I was born in Denver. My mom told me it was almost a given that there would be an Easter blizzard every year

Another possibility of lowland snow this weekend.

Usual areas are Hood Canal or elevations 600 Ft or higher.

Up to 2 inches possible.

I am not surprised. Seattle's winter weather tends to end at late June like in the past four years since I moved here.

Seems like it... and I hope not... especially since central washington was really affected by last year's freeze in April... if it happens again the record setting crop won't have much to brag about!

There was a trace of snow on the ground here in Everett this morning. Will winter never end?

The Sun is out in full force! It should get near 60 at some point this weekend.

Guys,

I wouldn't get too excited as the pattern is slated to change in the coming days as the flow turns onshore and we begin our dive back into Grey and rainy towards the weekend with temps falling back into the mid to upper 40's.

Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger.

Ok,

I don't want to freak anyone out " BUT ".....

Looking at the extended WRF-GFS and High Res. MM5 it would be appear that places at and above 500FT could see some snow overnight Sunday and into Monday next week.

Take note that I am hedging my bets right now because it is still several days out but the fact that the WRF has been VERY consistent handling snow all winter long, I WILL place a meager bet that it will snow sometime early next week.

Accumulations ???? Unlikely but anything is possible.

If it DOES snow next Monday, It will be the 2nd latest snowfall ever in Seattle history next to last years Latest EVER snowfall which occurred on April 18th and 19th....

Stay Tuned

The Joos
