LOS PAISAJES NO PERTENECEN A SALTA- ARGENTINA, SINO A LA PROVINCIA ARGENTINA DE JUJUY, DEPARTAMENTO TILCARA Y TUMBAYA.

Gotta love those multicoloured mountains.

Just about all these pictures are from towns such as Purmamarca, Tilcara and Maimara. All these towns are part of the Province of Jujuy and NOT Salta.
The colonial buildings are from the city of Salta the rest are pictures from JUJUY.

Generalizar y particularizar no hace bien a nadie.

Absolutely beautiful. I have to go there when I visit Argentina.

Can someone post a map showing where these things are? How far would they be from Iguazu (sorry for the bad spelling but I think you know what I mean).

Your comment that actually is really mean... Salta also has amazing landscapes, they don't have to promote Tilcara, Humahuaca and Purmamarca like it were there. And last, but not least we should be thankful those amazing towns are promoted. If Jujuy doesn't do this well, it's good that Salta keeps it ahead touristy. It's really unique those places, really different from the majority of the country.

And you guys, please, we should only speak english right there.

@600West218: Here you have a map:

Those jewels are located in the Extreme Northwestern Argentina, close to Bolivia.

Salta is 1572 km away from Puerto Iguazu (17 km from the Iguazu falls) whilst Tilcara is 204 km from Salta and 84 km from San Salvador de Jujuy.

As additional information:

Tilcara - Buenos Aires: 1658 km;
Tilcara - Bolivia-Argentina border 212 km.

Cheers.
