1 million Baht loss for Phasee Charoen boat service - 18 million Baht revenue but 27 million Baht expenditure for 9 months since the operation on 1 October 2016 - need private sector to bail them out
http://www.thairath.co.th/content/963762

Hitachi now become more serious to set up the assembly of EMUs within Eastern Economic Corridor - need to ensure that Thailand need at least 1000 carriages of EMUs and LRTs as the exchange for investment - this should be a reason for massive electrification of main lines nationwide (about 3000 - 4000 km)
Well, 1000 carriages from Hitachi should include the exports to Vietnam, Myanmar or so ... in addition to MRTA and SRT - and SRT better cooperate with the local government to set up the local commuter networks to boost the demands for EMUs and to speed up massive electrification nationwide.

Any news on Pink/Yellow? Is the signing ceremony for BTS still on for Friday? Also heard that maybe BT doesn't have this as tied up as previously thought.

As far as the Government announcement of June 1st, the signing will be on Friday 16th June 2017. I haven't heard anything to the contrary. The contract will be with BSR Joint Venture (BTS/Sino-Thai/Ratchburi Electric) not with BTS. I will be meeting with one of the CEOs on 14th June and I shall be asking for confirmation. There is no date for the signing ceremony on the BTS website. Will let you know if there is a date change.

Thanks. Please also ask if Bombardier is still getting the contract and when that might be announced, if you don't mind.

After the cabinet has approved the deal on Pink Monorail and Yellow Monorail with BSR (BTS - STECON - Ratchaburi Power Plant) on 30 May 2017, CEO Khiri of BTS telling the press that the deal is going to be signed with deputy PM Somkid on 16 June 2017 - with BSR along with alliances like Bangkok Bank PCL (main creditor) who is going to finance 50 billion Baht investment on this project.

For the 288 Super Monorail carriages to be used in this Pink Monorail and Yellow Monorail, it is likely to be Chongqing from China according to CEO Khiri and the Super Monorail in question must have wide body like BTS SKytrain with the length of each carriage at 15 meters - can carry passengers at 30000 - 40000 passengers an hour per direction with average speed of 35 kph and max speed of 80 kph

For the ticket system, it is likely to be European system and Indra system of Spain is one of the candidates

The CEO has confirmed that the Contract will be signed at 13.30hrs at the Centara Hotel Tomorrow. Also the deal for the trains is still being finalised, so no confirmation on the Manufacturer.
