However, we we have learnt that they insists the connection of Yellow Line with BTS at central Lad Phrao, it makes many nettizens including me have gone outrage with the selfishness of those transport experts as it is technically unfeasible compared with the much more easier alternative of going along Ratchada Ring to Ratchayothin. It seems to me that central Plaza lad Phrao is their world so everything must be according to their endless demands

After taking a ride of Purple line MRT in this Sunday evening from Tao Poon to Talad bang Yai (for Central West Gate) and the return trip to Nonthaburi Government Civic Center, I have found that the riding quality has been improved after 1 month hiccup including the stopping not at the right places to activate platform screen doors to work properly.

It would take time for the number of passengers to build up which will need to wait until March 2017 when Blue ring has been finally extended to Tao Poon after installing the signal and electro-mechanic system.

Just think about the number of new cars which is now up from 400 cars a day to 1000 cars a day as the basis ... the rest is up to your imagination

Yeah to Golden Line monorail - but not in my backyard
http://www.home.co.th/hometips/detai...B8%AA%E0%B8%A3
After the plan for using ONLY rabbit cards to pay for Phasee Charoen boat service, KT has to change the plan by issuing 15 Baht Single trip coupons along with Rabbit cards as many of those who board Phasee Charoen boat service are those urban poor who cannot afford to pay the first deposits for rabbit cards at 180 Baht - 100 Baht for ticket, 30 Baht is smart card fee which cannot be returned and 50 Baht deposit which will be returned after refunding the rabbit cards

Phadung Krung Kasem boat service has become so popular that 2 more boats from Navy have been donated to help BMA running more services and Thewet, Hua Lamphong, Rajdamnoen and Ministry of Energy pier are the top 4 most popular piers for Phadung Krung Kasem boat service

Wat Thewarat Kunchorn pier has been opened around 16 September 2016 to allow better connection with Chao Phraya express boat

Next on the line is skywallk to link Hua Lamphong pier with MRT Hua Lamphong subway station, the new pier at Mahanak to allow better connection with Saensaeb oat service and the way to connect both future Yotse station of BTSC as well as Yotse station of Red line commuter

Since saensaeb boat service has run 2 separated but connected services - Phan Fah Bridge - Pratoo Nam and Pratoo Nam - Wat Sribunreuang since 1990, BMA now would like to ask Krob Krua Khonsong (2000) Co. Ltd. to transfer the Phan Fah Bridge - Pratoo Nam section to BMA to allow much better traffic control and better interchange with Phadung Krungkasem boat service of BMA. To compensate the loss of the revenue, BMA is going to transfer Wat Sribunreuang - Bang Chan - Minburi boat service to Krob Krua Khonsong (2000) Co. Ltd. to make up the loss of revenue after transferring Phan Fah Bridge - Pratoo Nam to BMA
http://www.dailynews.co.th/bangkok/524564

the popularity of Phadung Krung Kasem boat service have prompted BMA to come up with Ong Ang Boat service with the distance of 3 km from Bang Lamphoo to Saphan Han which is to connect with Saensaeb boat service at Phan Fah Bridge - and connect with the future Samyod subway station at Blue ring and Saphan Han - the first 1 km will have to be done first

The state-run Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) will add 489 new natural gas-fuelled buses to its fleet by the end of the year.

The BMTA signed a contract to purchase the NGV buses from Bestling Group on Friday, with full delivery planned within 90 days, giving Bangkok residents a much improved service for the New Year, Deputy Transport Minister Omsin Chivapruck said. The BMTA also plans to acquire 200 electrically powered buses and to recondition another 672 buses now in service.

How on earth can the BMA purchase buses from Bestlin Group which is a catering company? The only experience they have is with Airport catering trucks. I expect that the NACC will be throwing this contract out as they did with the previous contracts.

After the 489 NGV Aircon Buses at 3389 Million Baht, next on the line is electric buses with a plan of 1000 Buses within 5 years as requested by NESDB (National Economic and Social Development Board) to replace the plan for 3183 NGV buses at 13,000 million Baht

So far, BMTA has responded with 200 New Electric Buses at 3300 Million Baht and refurbishment of 500 old non aircon BMTA buses and 200 old Aircon buses at 4300 Million Baht. If cabinet has approved the plan, BMTA is going to forward the plan
3300 Million Baht for 200 electric buses consists of 2 contracts:

1. 1700 Million Baht for 200 electric buses
2. 1600 Million Baht for 10 year maintainance + 4 power charge stations at the following placess
2.1 under Ekkamai - Ram Indra expressway,
2.2 under expressway around Sadhupradit
2.3 Klong Toei bus depot in front of Port Authority of Thailand (AKA Klong Toei port)
2.4 Boromraj Chonnanee road - should be around Taling Chan area

Furthermore, BMTA has drafted the plan for purchasing 200 new electric buses per year from 2018 to 2022 - thus 1000 new electric buses - but either EV that that use rechargable batteries just like the first 200 buses or Hybrid - Plug In - Plugin + Hybrid oeven Hydrogen - need to get consultant for this issue along with the discussion with Ministry of Energy to ensure that electric buses are in line with government policies.

489 NGV Sunlong Aircon buses at 3389 million Baht will be ready in December 2016 on 24 routes at 12-14 Baht per head just like Euro2 buses with orange livery
