Wave house Bilbao - Leioa - Bizkaia

this project looks like very nice, it wil be finished in december 2009. THE UNIQUE WAVE HOUSE IN EUROPE WILL BE LOCATED IN BILBAO For me thats a great news because it will help to attract people to come here and because i will be able to practice surf the days that there is not such a good weather. Thanks to the Bizkaiko Foru Aldundia that has make it possible.

Zorrotzaurre, a New neighbourhood in Bilbao

This will be the most important construction during the next years, they have just started to take away the enterprises that were located there. They are planning what to put around there, they have showed the first building of this master plan it will be IMQ = igualatorio medico quirurgico. This place was very used some years ago by the industial enterprises nowadays it is innacessible for the people.

ZAHA HADID - MASTERPLAN

And this is the IMQ building

This photos have been taken from Adema, thank you.

The future begins

I visited Bilbao a few weeks ago. Really loved it. The city is a great combination of industry, modernism, old parts, etc. Combined it is one of this lively places you just have to like. Bilbao seems to be the commercial and industrial heart of the basque country.

I also liked the metro system, although I do not understand why they did not install escalators in all stations.

i dont know why they didnt install some scalators in the metro (maybe to save money) but instead of this you have almost 2 elevators in each station

LA ALHONDIGA

What?

The big question … what is AlhóndigaBilbao?Bilbao’s old municipal wine storage facility or Alhóndiga is a historical building at the heart of a city which is undergoing rehabilitation work to produce a multi-disciplinary space open to all residents, geared towards knowledge, wellness and entertainment.

AlhóndigaBilbao wishes to become a reference for development and extension of city culture, modernity, new trends and healthy living. A venue to enjoy, gather more knowledge about ourselves, and learn. A space for human co-existence.

Why?

Because we deserve it!Because local residents deserve a space for their free time, enthusiasm and emotions.

Because this historic building deserves to be reborn and reintegrated.

Because Bilbao deserves a creative innovative project providing new spaces in the city for us to meet, improve and grow.
