I've never despised a skyscaper as much as I do this one. I don't mind that it's taller than the chysler building but it cheated with a stupid "economically efficient" spire, (I know the Chrysler building has a spire too but it seems easier to cheat with a spire today than during art deco times). They demolished the narrow Remington building to make way fro this which was actually under restoration until 9/11 happened. I don't like the way it crowds midtown it should at least be more slender and not so plastic-looking I all around hate this building I cringe when I see it part of the backgrounds in movies that's the way new york looks now. It should have been seet closer to one of the rivers like the new york times tower.
I guess the real reason I dislike this building is because it reminds me of post-9/11 too much it might not have even been built. sorry guys |

It's got the right slopes in the right places, which makes it look impressive and imposing from the ground, and it fits perfectly into modern times, plus it's not visually invasive on the overall skyline because it sits behind several other things. On the downside it's a little on the thick side, could be either a little taller or a little thinner to make an even fresher impression.

10/10!!! I just love this tower. I really like the spire, even if it is too large for some people, and it looks so elegant and clean!

Personally, one of my least favorite New York skyscrapers. It's a big hulking mass of glass.
don't like the sedges and its cladding. I think there could've been a better tower in its place. 5/10 |
