let me start off getting back on track
heres a neat website i stumbled upon, looks like the official site for camko:

http://www.worldcitycambodia.com/

Pictures from the website...first one looks like the view of the waterfront, nice rendering IMO

Order of the constructions Phases, It seems like that Phase 1,2,3 should be under constructin..unless slowed down by the recession

Some interesting facts about Cambodia. Apparently we have the fastest economic growth rate in Indchina, doesn't that sound goood?? And this is NOT 25 km away from the original...its only about 3km...hmm I wondered who said it was 25km away....atleast now we know that the khmer people dont have to travel sooo far to reach the new proposed city.

All photo are properties of World City Co., Ltd.

I dont like this new project! Old project looks so much better! Also, it seems they reduce the cost of construction, I see less buiding in these rendering!

I like the old project too, but is it certain that there is a new project???Maybe the render is just done by some cheap company, but the rendering does seem less dense...hopefully it won't turn out like that

I just got the price list for the De Castle Royal Condominium, price range from US$120000 to US$860000 (penthouse with 7 bedrooms)

I would actually agree there are high demand for apartment units in Phnom Penh, this is due to people nowadays will prefer not to live in a house with large family size. Once these people have the money and be able to afford an apartment unit, they will choose to move out, and live alone or with their partner only.

Developers in cambodia should build more apartment units to meet all these demand and I believe quite a number of people (the wealthy and middle class one) living in Phnom Penh can afford a US$100000 or above apartment units.

Are there any more?? Beautiful pictures although the homes
are dirty, poor, and the living conditions look to be horrible, the environment seems like such a wonderful place where children and adults are really happy just to have a home and live in such a peaceful community. Too bad their homes are going to be demolished or some forcefully evicted due to the mega projects being constructed, hopefully there will still be some areas in Cambodia that will preserve its beautiful community that exist still for the time being...These places are very sentimental to the people, it's really sad to see everything they cherish so much, eventually gone.

Watch this video before commenting on Phnom Penh abuses projects
Thank you, I really enjoyed the video however I still like the designs of the project and I'm very glad that Cambodia is finally modernizing but I wish that the government took a different step into developing the country or built it elsewhere. The government should realize that there are solutions to prevent situations like this from happening especially within the capital, there are alternative to accommodate the poor and instead of using the money from the investor on themselves. The government should of used the money to build some high rise apartment for the people that are losing their homes, instead they use the money to violate human rights.
It's very sad to see these people crying in their language especially since I can actually understand what they are saying word for word. Till this day the country is still run by corruption where the government doesn't even care for the poor, I hope there's an alternative but it looks like the projects have already taken the majority of the poor homes.
I love camko city and I can't wait for it to be built but why must it have been done this way?

This is another project and I believe that it is by 7ng Group, the same company that is responsible for the eviction of Dey Kraham residents. "Solve it" is the architecture/Engineering company for the project and it's a Korean firm. It's their [7ng Group] 3rd major real estate project and it's called Borey Santepheap III. In the past they had information about this project on their website but now I don't see it anymore, maybe they cancelled it.

The owner of 7ng Group is Srey Sothea and he plans to build these twin towers on the Dey Kraham land, that is him pictured below:

As for Camko City, I think that the first Master Plan has changed. The layout of the new Camko City is better planned ,IMO, meaning that the layout of the streets are more structured (less inefficient curved streets and more of the traditional parallel/perpendicular streets you see in major bussiness district and downtown areas, refer to the different renderings to understand what I am trying to get at).
