This estimate is way off! GT 42 is 192 m for each tower.

Your number is at the top end of an office tower which is 15 ft (4.5 m) per floor. GT 42 could very well be the luxury type. I am skeptical about Cambodia having this kind of luxury though.

Yes i support yr comment SonYan! If anyone talk about Politic, better not come into this forum since it is for Phnom Penh Development Dialogue. We are not Politician so should not speak anything which we don't have enough knowledge or awareness! It is kinda waste of time then we should discuss and talk about business development. National Assembly is where for politic dialogue if whoever regards him/her self is politician (So try more to upgrade your education degree to be People Representative/ Politician in Senate or National Assembly or Election Season) (NOT HERE IN THE FORUM!) Mind your word! We are educated people enough so don't use any damn word in the forum.

Pizza Hut set for debut
Tuesday, 02 February 2010 15:00 Ellie Dyer

CAMBODIA’S first Pizza Hut is set to open this year along with five new branches of KFC, according to the chairman of QSR Brands Bhd. In an interview with the Malaysia Star newspaper, published Monday, Tan Sri Muhammed Ali Hasim announced his intention to invest RM4.8 million (US$1.32 million) in the new branches. QSR is the franchisee for both chains in the Kingdom. Ali explained that Pizza Hut restaurant would be built in Phnom Penh’s riverside area. Two of the new KFCs – which are operated by the Kampuchea Food Company – will be located in Battambang and Kampong Cham. Three more KFC restaurants will open in Phnom Penh, the report added.

Please don't bring up with politic to this forum otherwise this forum will be a battlefield. Beside bringing information about developments project everyone should bring up with law or regulation related to real estate or development sector. For example, Prakas on Business Management of Real Estate or Sub-decree on Management of Co-ownership Building and so on... Then we can see that which factor will push or pull the development sector..

Thanks, Sopheak. It took me a while to find out what the picture was. I thought it was a church construction because I saw a church sign "the cross" at the upper left corner of the picture. I heard the word "sky bridge" used a lot in the Cambodian media. This type of road is called "overpass" in North America.

Local firm to manage Siem Reap Marriott
Wednesday, 03 February 2010 15:02 Peter Olszewski
E-mail Print PDF

GRAND Lion Group has signed a deal with global hotel chain Marriott International that will see the Cambodian firm manage a new Siem Reap hotel when it opens next year.

The agreement was announced in a press statement made at the weekend, in which Grand Lion also pledged to invest US$300 million in its ongoing hotel ventures throughout the Kingdom.

The 218-room Courtyard by Marriot Siem Reap is being built on a 1.2 hectare site about 15 minutes from Angkor Wat.

President and CEO of Grand Lion Group Lundy Nath said in the release the group had thoroughly reviewed well-known hotel brands before teaming up with Marriott. “It will appeal to our guests exploring the Indo-China region, where Marriott International has already established a presence.”

The CEO hopes that more visitors from Europe, Asia and the United States will be drawn in by the brand.

The Grand Lion Group said it plans to build a new super resort in Sihanoukville and a 200-room business hotel in Phnom Penh, both due for completion in 2013.

This list might be different from the list that SeeMacau has. I based my list on the press release or actual counting of the number of stories in the construction pictures. There might be other buildings that I/we don't know about. These are real projects. 37 buildings is about the same size as a typical medium-size city in the US. These buildings will be visible from 15 km away and will be the real skyline in Phnom Penh.
I will base on this list because it seems to be more accurate, thanks !!
