Yes, me too. It is the "colorkey" effect. Have you seen the movie Sin City?

I use a polfilter. For that particular shot I tried to create basic HDR though from 3 Raw pictures. It does help with these kinds of lighting problems although they seem to sometimes lack a bit of contrast.

And yes, the time of day must have been around noon.
