Thanks for sharing. I like the outdoor mall concept with the canal but i just wish they could be more original with the design and not copy "Venice"

But...it's a Venetian themed mall/residences so they have to "copy" Venice. Di ba dapat ganun?

well nagmamarket pa ng Morgan etc..iba naman to sa tuscany morgan and the others...so target market of this is malamang yung mga gusto na connected to the mall... the scale model is in the showroom na...and megaworld made a new showroom pa for the Venice in McKinley hill... Prices are not yet out though...either today or bukas daw... lets wait for it...

Yup yup! I second that! Maybe next time there will be something Megaworld lang... but the trademark of every Megaworld township project is a clock tower...sa east wood meron...magkakaron sa McKinley and sa Newport also...

Huwag naman sana maging parang amusement park ala Disneyland ang dating. It might make the surrounding condos look cheap.

Don't get me wrong, I love developments for the country.

I love that taguig is fast emerging as a true global city.
I love that Makati, Ortigas, and Manila are busier than ever.
I love that we can expect great things for Quezon City.

But this project just reminds me of that line from the movie, The Devil Wears Prada:

Miranda Priestly: Florals? For spring? Ground breaking.

nuff said.

This is my personal impression only:
Looks like a theme park design...bit tacky and touristy..why create a Faux Venice in Asia or Las Vegas tackiness? Is there a Casino in this Development? Why another Macao/Shanghai tackiness???? I want to be as far away from this development. Is this close to the Delta/Pacific Towers? Hope not!!!

P.S. Oh never mine....Its in the boondock of McKinley Hill...Don't really care what they build there...sorry no offense meant.

my thoughts exactly

Miranda Priestly: Florals? For spring? Ground breaking.

Vegas already made something "inspired" by Venice.

Then Macao has something that was inspired by something that has been inspired by something.

and then we just have to do it. ..
wow. groundbreaking.

exactly.. and it does not need to be original.. mckinley hill is a place in fort bonifacio that simulates the feel of europe (more of italy).. so looking at the whole development, the venice suits the theme.

this project will be a nice place to visit once completed. at least people who cannot afford to travel may somehow imagine what it would be like.

this is what i think MW is pushing.. not originality. because if they want to have an original and ground-breaking project, they have the money to do so.. don't you think?

Totally agree. Not every Filipino can afford to travel overseas and this development gives them the opportunity to somehow experience a piece of the world.

i totally agree! this is original since it's first in our country. true, that there are similar establishments abroad (anyway, Vegas and Macao are of same group--- The Venetian. Macao's is sort of a branch of The Venetian. And both are indoors. Ours is outdoor) but wouldn't you want to have something similar that's situated in our country? so that we, Filipinos, can enjoy it too without leaving our country.

why persecute MW for coming up with projects that's out of the box? ano maganda, this or the boxy malls of SM with condos on the side?

just my two cents.

Kitsch /kɪtʃ/ is a term of German or Yiddish origin that has been used to categorize art that is considered an inferior, tasteless copy of an existing style. The term is also used more loosely in referring to any art that is pretentious to the point of being in bad taste, and also commercially produced items that are considered trite or crass.

Because the word was brought into use as a response to a large amount of art in the 19th century where the aesthetic of art work was associated with a sense of exaggerated sentimentality or melodrama, kitsch is most closely associated with art that is sentimental; however, it can be used to refer to any type of art that is deficient for similar reasons—whether it tries to appear sentimental, glamorous, theatrical, or creative, kitsch is said to be a gesture imitative of the superficial appearances of art. It is often said that kitsch relies on merely repeating convention and formula, lacking the sense of creativity and originality displayed in genuine art.

For me, it does not really matter if this Venetian mall/condo is not an original concept. Macau did that, and it became a hit. I believe that it will surely be a blast for Pinoys. British Embassy and Korean Embassy are there, Chinese and Korean International Schools, BPOs, etc. etc. I made the right choice!

I wonder when would be the turnover?
Stamford 1,2,3 around mid 2010-2011
Morgan Suites I think is end of 2011

If they start this project after Morgan Suites then you might be looking at around mid 2012 (for the 1st tower)...
