This looks lifeless and boring. I can't believe they are making exactly the same mistakes as in the 1960's. How can a European city which has some of the liveliest neighbourhoods in the world, design something so lifeless and sterile?
This type of development is shame on Spain.

![]() The amazing live in Spain is in the centre of towns and cities, just there are live (and usually there are not a lot of live) in the old neighborhoods, the new neighborhoods must wait some years for have lie Parla Este have not many commercial zones, but the most new PAUs have many shops for sale.

IMHO i think the same, i believe that this kinf of urban developement, without imagination as 60s, 70s quarters, lifeless is a shame for a city such as Madrid, capital of an european country, sorry but this is my opinion.

^ I think it will still look lifeless when it is 100% full. Those buildings and that urban design was a mistake in the 1950's and 60's and shouldn't still be built in today's Europe. It was proven a failure then and will be no different when everyone moves in.

a desing from 1950's?? dont think so,and sure,will be very different when people moves in,its still under construction...the desing of some buildings could be much better,but its a pleasant neighborhood

/\ Well, the planning is definitely from the 50s. I would not be surprised if the planners took a study trip to Stockholm to check out the new areas U/C there.

I can picture this with some big leafy trees and parks. It would be pretty pleasant I think.
I'd like to see some street commerce though on the ground level.

Señalización Viaria chapucera en Parla Este
Se ha procedido a la nueva señalización viaria de varias calles del nuevo barrio de Parla Este, y en algunos casos se han cometido chapuzas dignas de la antología del disparate. En la señalización vertical de varias calles que requerían varias señales (peatones, dirección única y/o prohibido el paso), en vez de ubicar ambos indicadores sobre un mismo poste, se han fijado en postes individuales cada uno de ellos, lo cual da lugar al esperpento de poner hasta tres postes(contando que la nomenclatura de las vías es también vertical en vez de adosada a una pared) en un mismo trozo de acera.
No sólo eso, por la estrechez de la propia acera, además del patético disparate visual que supone, en algunos casos hasta se ha generado con ello una barrera arquitectónica, pues el “bosque” se señales verticales impide el paso de un carro de bebé, una silla de ruedas e incluso dos personas caminando en paralelo. Todo ello frente al abandonado proyecto de parque lineal que separa el polígono industrial de la zona residencial. Imperdonable, increíble y todo ello perpetrado en un barrio nuevo. También al pintar la nueva disposición de aparcamientos, de línea a batería, en las calles transversales a las dos grandes avenidas(Calles Jaime I El conquistador, República Dominicana, Estrella Polar, etc), no se han readecuado ni modificado las aceras, ni los pasos de cebra, ni la prolongación del adoquinado de los aparcamientos en batería, ni las intersecciones de las propias aceras, y ahora resultan todoas ellas cortas, asimétricas y peligrosas ante la nueva distribución, limitándose a un chapucero repintado en vez de una completa reextensión de todas esas partes citadas. También sería razonable adoquinar, por la durabilidad y resistencia permanentes del adoquín frente a la loseta, las entradas/salidas de los garajes, sustituyendo a las losetas del continuo de acera existentes, pues se rompen por su fragilidad ante el peso de los vehículos, están ennegrecidas por los neumáticos y no acotan ante la circulación de peatones, un área visual diferenciada para la entrada y salida de vehículos, además de Debe ser que a la empresa encargada de la señalización le pagan por señal instalada y piensa “sembrar” las aceras de ellas, o el responsable encargado de la instalación carece de los más mínimos conocimientos elementales de lógica, porque hasta un niño de primaria tiene más luces e inteligencia que el responsable de este desaguisado tan tercermundista y ridículo. Pero desgraciadamente en Parla estamos acostumbrados a horrores y barbaridades urbanísticas de magnitud surrealista y esperpéntica, recorrer la ciudad supone un viaje al horror estético y a lo que jamás se debe hacer en el diseño y mantenimiento de una ciudad. |
