In this moment the construction hasn't started. There are second opinions. It is proposed a 30000 capacity stadium with the athletics track in the arena and a 10000 capacity indoor arena near the stadium.

It seems that at CFR CLUJ stadium everyone is still working. A little facade has been made and where there isn't a stand a giant screen will be put there.

A new 15000 capacity stadium is going to be built near Ploiesti for 23 mil euros.

The latest renderings of the new U Cluj 30000 capacity stadium. The municipality wanted a stadium with an athletic track so a new project was made .
This is the first project...REJECTED!

The stadium which is going to be built:

As you can see there are 2 choices for the facade and the tower nearby.

whith the team in second division and no money for the project it wil never be bilt.

Very high chances! This is a municipality project, it is a stadium for Cluj, for the city ... U Cluj just pays the rent to stay there

we live in romania my friend ...wich means that everiting is posible... but only bad stuff... never aniting good...so i realy dont belive it until its started.

Built or not built all I can say is that this project is amazing, much better than a similar 30000 athletic stadium like Letzigrund. I hope that in 2010 the new stadium will be built in Cluj. Great stadium for a great city.

it should be 40k btw. the city is realy big... and for the champions league it would be better

it would get 4 star to

2010 :> what an year , the national stadium will be finished, this one to, and romania will look at the tv to se SA2010 :>

This next stadium will receive a 4 star UEFA rating.

A stadium needs to be over 30000 places to be 4 star rated and over 50000 to be 5 star rated, the highest. So in 2010 we will have a 5 star national stadium and a 4 star stadium.

The stadium that is beeing demolished has 28000 capacity so think that is a step forward to 30000.:

Nice stadium, I also like the 2nd version better.
Shame about the athletic tracks though...
