It would be a dream to have all these stadiums built. Just imagine: the National Stadium in Bucharest (55.000 seats), Ion Moina Stadium in Cluj (~35.000 seats), Tineretului Stadium in Craiova (23.000 seats), the City Stadium in Brasov (~20.000 seats). There are also plans for a new stand for C-tin Radulescu Stadium and plans for further extension of the Piatra Neamt Stadium, arenas that are already modern. It might be a important city, but since when are the guys over there leaded my Mititelu understaing enough for the people?
And as much as I remember when the first pictures came out, this might not be they're permanent stadium as it's not build over the Central/Oblemenco where a bigger one could be built in the near future??? Anyway, about Brasov stadium, the city is almost as big as Craiova but the team clearly doesn't have Universitateas tradition & fans, so 20.000 seems ok. Piatra Neamt might be modified, but it can't conquer with a newly built stadium it's still a old structure, might have some conditions in plus at the boxes, press seats prepared and more parking lot spaces but that doesn't make it for me, the average ticket buyer any better at all, just the same thing as before . CFR's stadium, i hope, will be finished soon so it can have all it's 4 stands and a better capacity, maybe bring the first stand up to the height of the the 2nd. |

It seems like there's a boom regarding stadium projects in Romania, so I've decided to post some pics with all of them. (the first two are most likely to be built)
So, the first and most important: "Stadionul National Bucuresti" (55.000 seats, UEFA 5 star rating) - planned for completion in 2011. ![]() ![]() ![]() The second, "Ion Moina" Stadium in Cluj-Napoca(some 35.000 seats, UEFA 4 star rating), to be built until 2011. ![]() ![]() ![]() The third, "Stadionul Tineretului - Arena Leilor" in Craiova, set for construction in 2011.(23.000 seats) ![]() ![]() And finally, an older project, Brasov Stadium (23.000 seats) ![]()

Just a reminder that not only good stadiums attract supporters… but the quality of the football played we don’t really have that much…

Ghencea is a rubbish stadium,I can't imagine what kind of idiots that have been there would think otherwise, maybe the team`s supporters.
The only good things about this stadium is the officials box, maybe even extended to the entire first stand, the pitch and the electronic screen are the rest of the positive things, but I can say with all sincerity that there are much better stadiums in Romania in terms of supporter standards. There is little difference between a sewer and this stadium. |

Apart from the obvious ones like the stadiums in Cluj and Piatra Neamt there are also Constanta or Galati, and I've seen all this stadiums in person, including others, but I believe this are the ones that offer better standards for spectators.

- P. Nt has a running track and that's why stands are quite far (not considering the stadium has tho floodlight poles inside the stadium and two outside); - Ct would be ok but it has running track; - Gl...don't mean to offend your town but I've been on Otelul and on Dunarea also and the stadiums have a very old design (on Otelul the visitor area is not straight in the upper part - I'm sorry I don't have a picture but I'm sure you know what I mean and about Dunarea I prefer not to say anything because from what I know it is no longer in use). I don't want to induce the opinion that Steaua is a perfect stadium but it has unitary stands, doesn't have track + +. With improved access, a roof and decent toilets it would be just like other normal stadium in let's say France, Germany or Holland |

![]() Athletic tracks don't have to do with anything,in Galati's case I was referring to Otelul of course, which was built in 1984,how could it have a very old design?steaua is 10 years older,Dunarea is from 1960,in this case you're right.I believe we're not understanding each other on the criteria that this list was made. That isn't a visitor area anymore on Otelul, and was built like this because there wasn't any space left because of the house in the corner of the stadium. I hope you're joking with steaua, those stands are built on soil foundation, they should be demolished and build a decent 21 century stadium instead. |

I don't what to say about Germany, but France may have some stadiums old style like Lille ( though they're building a new one now ).
Maybe Eastern Germany, thats something else...not that Germany was born with ultra modern ones but thats kinda of a harsh compare for a country that hosted the last World Cup. And about The Netherlands, a lot of clubs have pretty new stadiums like Alkmaar, Roda Kerkrade or Groningen ( also some built in the 90's ) and if you're refering to clubs who still use older ones, you can think that there are a lot of clubs in small towns that don't have a very big fan support and limit the size of the stadiums. And about the thing Steaua has 3 stars equivalent so they can play Champions League games, it's nothing impossible to do the same with Dinamo or even the stadium you mentioned above. If for Dinamo you make a parking lot, give more seats to the journalists and eventually cover up a minimum part of the stadium and build a bigger press conference room it's enough for them to use the stadium for C.L. games. The stadium will be the same thing as before for the usual fans. So IMO the thing Ceahlaul can host C.L. games doesn't make the stadium any better for the average fan then before, unless it wasn't all seater before or just had worse chairs ( I don't know how it was before the renovation ) that for example stadiums like Dinamo, Farul or Otelul already have. Otelul has a nice cozy stadium, I don't know the outer design but unless they don't have space for parking they can also easily get the license to host C.L. games. |

As i said, the number of stars don't actually refer to the conditions offered to the normal fan.
About Dinamo, I think the situation has been resolved for the 0 and 1 stands with those new chairs while the rest of the stadium has small chairs with almost inexistent backrests. But for me at least, the most important thing is the view, and that is horrible on a stadium like Dinamo, unacceptable, maybe in the 50's it was but not now. All the bla bla with the Ministry of Internal Affairs is bullshit. They always say the state won't give them the stadium but the thing is that now when PD-L is with PSD at power it should be a simple thing since people like Turcu at Dinamo are very influential in PD-L and one simple call could resolve the situation . But of course, thats not what he wants.

A friendly match FC Brasov VS Busan I'Park(K-League club) is said to have started about 40 minutes ago in Antalya, Turkey. The two clubs have been there for off-season training sessions. It's interesting to see a club mentioned here play against one of K-League clubs.
