U/C mall at mannanthala? news to me
Btw i went to new QRS shop. The 2 floors electronics showroom is quite big with Neat interiors . all the floors have escalators, except the one going down from ground floor. But the building is not like a mall. Each floor have a sinlge showroom which extends to all sides from a single door opening.

John Abraham inspires Vilpattu rejuvenation

A group of youth will bring out visual documentation on Vilpattu, a ritual art form of southern Travancore and Kanyakumari, to rejuvenate the dying art form.

The youth, inspired by film maker John Abraham, raised money for the project through collections from local people.

“The script of Vilpattu was originally in a language that is a mix of Malayalam and Tamil. It was Balan Pillai, a DySP in the Kerala police who gave a modern version of the art form by incorporating social issues and even Bible stories,” Vinod Sen who coordinates the project for Swadeshabhimani Centre, Neyyattinkara, told DC. Mr Sen is also the coordinator of the project directed by his friend Sanobar.
Mr Balan Pillai also began to present stories in Malayalam.

In fact, he had constituted a Vilpattu troupe of the Kerala police, he said. After Balan Pillai left the scene, it is advocate Thalayil S. Kesavan Nair who has been instrumental in keeping the art form alive, he said.

Vilpatu is an ancient form of a musical story telling where narration is interspersed with music, popular in the southern part of Thiruvananthapuram district and Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu. The villu, a bow and the age-old weapon of warriors, is used as a primary musical instrument for the Vilpattu artists.

As per schedule, the project is to be completed by May last week, said Mr Sen.

“European Pressurised Reactor (EPR), the third generation technology planned at Jaitapur, is resistant to earth quakes and is safe. Moreover, the EPR plants in France, Finland and China will be operational well before the Jaitapur project,” he said.

Infrastructure, urban development, energy, water management and transport are some of the sectors identified for cooperation, he said. During his three-day visit Richier will meet a host of dignitaries, including the Governor, Cm, Shashi Tharoor MP, and head of the Travancore Royal family Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma.
How did Mancini end up here?

207 ft is equal to 63m.
But,the building heights in major cities of India like Mumbai is much above this.

Denying permission to flag post to hoist National Flag is like denying permission for National flag ,which is unconstitutional.

Hope, the National Flag and the flag post used to hoist it is given due respect by the authorities concerned.

Any tall structure has to receive AAI clearance, it's a matter of air safety over anything else. Given that the location of the flag pole is reasonably far away from the airport, it should be able to get a NoC.

You are absolutely right Ajay. I remember long time back AAI objecting to even high power sodium vapour street lights near a cliff some where near poonthi road, kumarapuram.(sorry don't remember the exact location ). I have been there. You can get a clear sight of the airport from there.

The NOC for structures taller than 42 m height is issued from Chennai or Delhi Office, where as rest is issued from AAI,Trivandrum itself.
