Only 30km? In that case I think you'll be able to stand at the top of this tower and see Wuxi's supertalls on a clean day. Greenland is rumoured to be planning a 400m project in Changzhou anyway, that will make it easier. Wuxi is also expected to release a 400m+ soon.

Thanks for the info;

So I guess they are not quite like Minne and St. Paul just yet; perhaps some time in the distant future.

It is about 40 km between the centers. Nevertheless, on an ideal day, a person standing on top of a future 300 meter building in Changzhou, could see another future 300 meter building in Wuxi. This is well within
the range allowed by the curvature of the earth. Unfortunately,
due to a number of factors (natural high humidity, pollution, hills),
such days are very rare.

This one could turn out pretty nice. It has some postmodern Art Déco appeal to it, comparable to Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai. Let's hope they go for some quality cladding.

You can already see cladding around the base.

But I can't judge about the quality by the looks of it. The weather showing up in the above photos doesn't really help either.

the spire does reek of jin mao. i think they could actually do without it. except for the spire the rest of the tower reminds me a bit of the one in atlanta. the massing is very "blocky" i actually like it a great deal.

I've been in Changzhou, lots of stuff going on there, both economical and cultural. I went to this amazing old factory plant converted into a fresh art district with offices, cafés and a museum. This building will be a spectacular landmark tower for this expanding city.
