I was at the Tampa Mayor's Symposium on Urban Trees and Green Canopy last week where Mayor Iorio announced the remiander of her term will be dedicated to establishing a Worldclass Botanical Garden in the Urban Core of Tampa.
Has anyone heard anymore about this?
Any realistic ideas where the city might locate such a project? The gardens I've been to in other major cities seem to be quite large.
i heard about it... but that was at the Tampa Mayor's Symposium as well.
not sure if the people of tampa want a botanical garden...
sometimes it seems that tampa is trying to be a little like every city, but really isnt great at anything. but, that's not neccessarily a bad thing.
to me, i think tampa should dedicate a larger share of time and money perfecting a niche rather than doing a little of everything.
