I think it's now fair to assume that they are indeed building the 258m design and not the 230m one like mentioned earlier.

Yes, it does looks a bit dull.
I think shanghai needs developer like the one from Beijing called Pan Shiyi(潘石屹), his real estate giant SOHO China always picked up some cool designs.
His latest project in Beijing paid the avant garde British architect Zaha Hadid 4 Million pounds design fees.
I heard that SOHO China newly entered into the shanghai market, hope it will bring shanghai some fresh ideas of what the 21 century city should look like.

Decent building, better than most of what surrounds it.

I don't particularly like the design, but, it seems to at least blend with the skyline.

i dont feel it's ugly, on the country,it's a decent building.平凡之中蕴藏着优雅.

This is Shanghai, the skyscraper ocean. Such an irrelevant 15~ floor midrise probably doesn't even have a name.

No way there is such a random skyscraper so ugly out of nowhere (way too ugly i mean). I think its claddings are stripped down for some upgrades for the expo.

No it doesn't, and simply an link is enough. Please don't post pictures of another city.
