Monterrey.

Well, Now I'll show you my videos. All of them were filmed on different Sundays when I have some free time.
I like to make videos of my city's roads.

Monterrey, N.L, México.

On the way to the Mall "Plaza Fiesta San Agustin"

Leaving the mall and going to Downtown. On this video you'll see a left exit on a freeway that you might find weird, because I don't think they are very common on freeways around the world, but in this Monterrey freeway they are not rare.

Paseo de los Leones: This is a video of a section of this freeway underconstruction, It used to be a regular avenue with trees on the middle of it and lights on intesections, but the city growth forced to upgrade it and become a freeway and in 2009 the entire road won't have any at grade intersection. Pretty bad, but our past century governments didn't have so much future vision.

Finnally nearby my home.

Nice Video that you post. I didn't know about Oman second largest city, It looks very nice.

And yes, I live in a sprawly neighborhood. The majority of Neighborhoods in Monterrey are sprawly, except the Downtown and the Financial District. But nowadays there is some try to built Vertical Neighborhoods, but quite a few of them. And as you can see, the sprawl in Monterrey and general in Mexico is kind of different of that of US. In Mexico the houses are closer than in US, the majority of the houses just have garages and backyards, but no garden in the front, and the houses that have gardens in the front, it is enclosure or behind the walls of the house just like the garage, so there's some wall that enclosure the garden and the garage, not like in the US where the garden is without fence. I don't know if other countries have the same pattern of sprawl that Mexico has.

Also the streets seem wide in Mexico, the driving standard is also pretty good.

Some stretches of the German autobahn doesn't have any speedlimits at all, so you can drive 200km/h without standing out..
I was once overtaken while driving 215km/h in Germany

I really wish we had that here - but our freeways are way too turny and twisty for such.. I guess we should be happy it was raised to 130 not that long ago..

I usually drive 120 km/h, fast enough for me. My car gets 47 miles per gallon at that speed... or 1 liter to 20 kilometers.

I contribute with two videos. They were shot in the Province of Jujuy in the northwest of Argentina, last weekend.

The first one is Ruta Nacional 9, which goes from Buenos Aires to La Quiaca in the border with Bolivia (1,500 km aprox). This stretch is in The Quebrada de Humahuaca, a very touristic zone, also declared Cultural Heritage by the UN. To the right you can see the Rio Grande and an abandoned railway.

The second one is Ruta Nacional 52. It goes from Purmamarca to the Argentina/Chile border and was recently pavemented. The stretch is Cuesta del Ipam, a very steep slope.

As we were climbing up the speed is not so high (60 - 70 km/h)

The landscapes are amazing, so I hope you enjoy it.

What's the speed limit on Malaysian freeways?

As for the fuel consumption, I personally don't care - the extra it might cost driving fast is made up in time saved...

As a general rule I drive 10km/h above the freeway speed limits ( 120-140km/h ) in Denmark - the police only focusses on wreckless drivers and everybody else drives 10km/h too fast too ( following traffic so to say )

New Copenhagen video from yesterday - I desided to visit the old town by car - not the best idea, but it was a sunday so the traffic was light.
