Between 3.5 tons and 12 tons speed limit on highways is 100 km/h
Over 12 tons is 80 km/h

I use some wide clear tape - it's doesn't really stick to the dashboard, but after 5min of putting tape everywhere it usually works okay as long as I don't turn or accelerate too fast ( have had some mishaps ) - somekind of mount would be nice, but I have no idea how it should work without gueing or something and I don't feel like doing that ( same reason i don't use ducttape )

lol, i c, I might make a video that way. I have some 3M double sided adhesive. At first I thought you guys stuck little mounting pads for the tripod screwhole.

I'll try using some packing tape and see how that works out...

did u use a picture cam, or a vid cam?

I use velcro. Works pretty well, only if I break fast, the camera can lean somewhat down.

I use my digital camera for video's. As long as they're not larger shown than youtube format, it doesn't really matter. However, the vids have a higher quality on my PC than they have in HQ on youtube.

Well I want a nonpermanent method. I assume with velcro you stick one of the pads on your camera, and another on the car?

I've had terrible experiences trying to remove the leftover adhesive after you remove permanent solutions. (I use WD-40, but it smears the stuff all over the place)

Good luck mate!

I use a video camera - I've had too much focus issue and memory problems with digital cameras and movement/glass surfaces..

I just let it film and drive aroud for around an hour and then edit into one or two 8-10min films with a little text.. ( YouTube's limit is 10min )

I'll advice you to upload a fairly high res video as it gives you the much better looking "watch in high quality" option on the site!

Oh okay - that's pretty good - I had a feeling it would be higher than here with all the overtalking..

What about for the cars - is there any "free speed" areas left in Italy?

Yes, you can eventually remove it quite easy. I have one strip of velcro above my speedometer on the dashboard (otherwise i'd be filming my wiperblades), and a small strip of velcro on my digital camera. I also wanted a non-permanent solution. I tried cheap tape but that didn't worked as well on my dash.

I think "free speed" is only on German autobahn

In Italy max speed on highway is 130 km/h, on freeways 110 or in some cases 90 km/h

Anyway there is still too much people who overcome these limits on motorways even with a massive introductions of radars and new laws about driving license (with points: you start with 20 points and every infraction costs you some points; when you got 0 points they withdraw your licence - obviously they withdraw you it the same way without points calculation for infractions as drunk driving or overcome speed limits over 40 km/h)

Anyway I don't think in the video I posted there are too many cars over the speed limits as all along that stretch there are radars every few kilometers

The problem I have is I have a little Canon badge on the bottom of my camera. I dunno how the sticker was placed on, and I'm afraid when I remove the velcro it'll mess it up... I suppose I can always cut it into smaller pieces, lol.

I hope most Austrians don't listen to that kind of music. Sorry for going OT.
