Another interesting aspect is how quite the rotation mechanism will be. If I pay that much money for a flat I would not want to be woken up by the machinery noise. All these questions make this project very intriguing in my view. It's also nice that tower has a nice shape to it.

yeah, same here.
this is more fluid and smooth, and integrates into its environment much better.

Also in Milano they are proposing a similar building for the 2015 Expo.
If approved it will be probably a little bit shorter than this one but that can be considered as a proof of the fact that it is an interesting project |

Right
maybe they will have to programe the building rotation in gradual synchronization ,so that it won't end up like a brick pile

hmm I could be totally wrong about this, but for some reason I was under the impression that you owned a floor and you controlled the rotation. I'm not sure, but I agree, it would be far more interesting if they programmed it to create different spaces. I think if it was under the owner's control, it could just end up looking like a big mess spinning in the sky.

This tower may be impossible to construct since the floors of this tower are supposed to rotate.

I'm not saying it's necessarily so, but, let's say, there's a possibility this project was designed to attract publicity in the first place, not to be actually realized. After all, with all the coverage he got, this Fisher is more likely to get his future projects through to a large public, even if some "last minute decision" will see these "dynamic towers" cancelled for whatever reason. But what I'm still struggling to understand is, how could some poor 3d animation and dull catchphrases stir so much interest for a shady Jewish-Italian architect and bathroom designer? Maybe I'd understand if at least the concept was new, but it isn't.

People may like this building or hate it, but if it ever gets built, EVERONE would be marveled to just look at it. It might even become a tourist attraction (as long as they don't become too common
)

As I said in another thread, there are numerous high rise rotating restaurants and there is also a rotating house in san diego. The only additional difficulty is taking that one rotating restaurant or house, and making 40 of them all in the same space. But I think with a big enough core it could easily be done.
