The video on the building's web site is certainly entertaining to watch. However, I do not believe the building will change shape so quickly. Otherwise, they would have to rename the building the Nausea Building or the Sea Sick Building.

according to the buildings website, there will be a wind turbine between each floor.
apparently, it will generate its own power and even provide some for nearby buildings.

OK...I haven't watched the vid yet but I cannot see how the plumbing will work. Electricity is easy to transfer to rotating floors but drains and water supply?

PS....the quiet factor is a non issue...there are many, many rotating restaurants and they are all whisper quiet.

Water supply and drains (kitchen, bath) are probably in the core, which doesnt rotate.
(same for the elevators)

Err... people, are you aware yet that this building - and its "cousin" in Dubai - is very possibly a scam?

Wow, that would mean that from some apartments you would NEVER see the sun and from some other apartments you could see the sun from sunrise to sunset.

In this case only one apartment can be on each floor.

But at least some floors will have eight apartments:

I think there are ways to solve this problem. Water supply could work with tanks and the water pressure could be achieved via pumps, which rotate with the floors. At least if those pumps are not very loud. I am not an engeneer, but there I canīt imagine that that will really be a major problem.

it's true if it ROTATES within 24 hour periode. but from the animation @the architect's website you'd see that it didn't continuously rotate clockwise, it sometimes swivels and rotates counterclockwise. so i guess all tenants will experience sunrise / sunset at any days...

one think i'm not sure about this building... all tenants will be allowed to control their floor, as there will be 8 households on some floors (despite each floor can be rotated individually) <---i just read: only 'villas' owners are allowed to do so.

However i'm sure there will be a building authority to control its movements, for the sake of external reasons (creating artistic sequence) and internal reasons (tenants' fairness of exposure <--- i just made that up )

can't wait to see it manifests into real life

How would the central core be abe to support the weight of the building despite having holes in it for pipes, electricity and lift shafts?
What sort of motors would be used to drive this?
