But stadium income will lower and it isn't possible to expand the stadium later (20-25 years later)

42,000 is maybe currently ok, but maybe the average attendance will rise in some years.

i think it will be opposite.people will watch matches on tv and this will effect population of stadiums.bjk should'nt leave for a few more audiences.

look at the place.it's in the middle of teşvikiye, taksim, beşiktaş, eminönü.if you can't earn money from here, you are desperate.

If you have a first class venue the attendance will rise.
Currently just hardcore fans / ultras are visiting turkish stadiums.
Nearly no families etc.
With a bigger and more comfortable stadium the average attendance will rise (like it happend in Europe).
But how dou you want to earn more money than you rivals?
Capacity and number of suites is lower.
And because of the small plot its impossible to add entertainment builgings or at least more restaurants and lounges.

I am a Galatasaray Fan, but i do not want to see Besiktas playing in a 38-42k stadium.
They deserve more and i still believe that the 3 big ones can sell +60k season tickets. Our prices are very high. BEL, NED or GER is lower although a Turk earns just 50% of them.

Besiktas has to make a decision.
Staying at the "homeland" and enjoying the nostalgia, but therefore lower satdium income
or to move to a new ground where you have the chance to become a bigger club.

some internet pages are telling that the stadium will have a removable pitch like Schalke,
but where is the place for a system like that ?
And they repeat the plans, that the stadium will have a roof, but there are no pictures with roof, and it is porposed that the outside of the stadium will have a light system like Alianz Arena, the VIP boxes will be like the ones of Real Madrid ...

They are waiting for the permission of the memorial comitee and as i said before they will never get it, because its a historical district.

Since the Eski Açık tribune is going to be preserved into the new stadium, it can serve as an entrance gate to the new stadium. Also, if it is going to get permission, the new stadium's exterior needs to be redesigned to blend in with the historical district it is located on.

I think the planned solution (turning the eski acik stand into an amphitheatre) is the best one.
But i still think they will never get a permission.

the best is to build that project somewhere else and turning eski acik into an amphitheatre... the rest of plot should plant or turn out to some small thematic park which is open to public. This is the second worst project for that area, they let first one to be built, i hope they dont do same mistake... we still don't know how to deal with that *Gokkafes* aka humiliation monument

Its election time at Besiktas JK.
A candidate has got a new plan.

-Bosphorus stadn will stay and they will built 3 new stands
-all stand will be financed by sponsors
-150 suits at 2 levels
-6 VIP seats
-~30,000

OMG. what a bad design. where are the gates. what are these small windows. FAIL.

Hotels, shopping areas, conference centers. It's just a dream. They don't have enough space ability for them.

hmm... I see your point sercan. Nazi architecture was also inspired by the romans and it really looks kinda like the colosseum.
They should add more glass and reduce the amount of collumns.
