I'm gonna hate the place if it turns into a rectangular stadium. I prefer the old plans that also involved increasing its capacity.

You revitalized this thread, Jim856796. But, to me, rectangular pitch is one hundred times better-looking than round or elliptical one

I hate the rectangular pitch. It's Brasilia's only major stadium. I can't afford to build a new oval stadium for Brasilia.

Nice design, but, it has as big gaps on the sides as ordinary athletics stadiums do despite having no running tracks around the pitch.

Can I ask what it is with Brazilian stadiums and abnormally large pitches, it seem the fields, this one included are always substantially larger than need be. Which I suppose FIFA is in love with, and by 2014 that might be the new requirement, but it just seems a little excessive and puts fans further from the action.
Otherwise a nice design though, fairly typical of wha being done today, although quite elegant. |

Nice, but i also can't understand why they just don't build it with a normal rectangular pitch.

This company should be banned from designibg stadiums, they just recycle designs and do minimal changes to them.

What I mean by all that is if the Garrincha stadium gets refurbished as a rectangular stadium, Brasilia will never host the Pan American Games in the 2030s. I also can't redevelop the serejao stadium because that's probably a rectangular stadium, too. I would build some new oval stadium close to this one, but there's not enough space in the sports complex for it. The Mane Garrincha stadium has a swimming pool and two gymnasiums near it.
