This is how the Mane Garrincha Stadium currently looks like:

Does a city Brasilia really needs such a big stadium. Okey, I know it's capital of Brasil but this city doesn't have any football tradition and no important clubs. Half smaller stadium would be just enough. People should also think what to do with the stadium in the future.

This is what brazilians in general are arguing. If it is really worthwhile to build a stadium which will rarely be sold out.
But there's a political reason to build a large stadium in the country capital and this stadium host the opening cerimony

Can't they built a stadium with temporary stands?

1st tier concrete and cap. is 40,000
2nd tier is steel and cap. is 30,000

So WC cap. would be 70,000 and legacy 40,000

This project uses about 20% of the current structure of the Stadium. It could have some changes according to suggestions of the groups that will manage the Arena. Probably, it will be Amsterdam Arena Advisory (AAA), Sacyr Vallehermoso (SyV), or International Stadia Group (ISG).

It isn´t the best project, but I think that is the most viable one Brasília can offer.

I also can't redevelop the serejao stadium because that's probably a rectangular stadium, too. I would build some new oval stadium close to this one, but there's not enough space in the sports complex for it. The Mane Garrincha stadium has a swimming pool and two gymnasiums near it.
If Brasília hosts the Pan American Games, an Olympic Stadium should be built near the Paranoa´s Lake, at the Brasília University. It´s a nice place.

... But I don't believe that this will happen...

And thanks for your participation in Brasília´s World Cup threads.

Yes - this roof seems to be quite a copy of the Hamburg WC Stadium. As you call it, a recycling with minimal changes.
But no - why banning the architects for this? It is a simple, a cheap and functional desing, and we've seen variations of this quite often in the last years.

Technically, all these hanging roofs are just copies - of the Colosseum in Rome. Since the developement of new "skin" Materials in the early Ninties, this construction idea has become fashinate again, with an inflation of variations over the last decade.
Now, we're coming to a point when almost every variation has already been "invented" somewhere on this planet - at least every cost efficient variation. And the only choice you really have is whether you want to copy this one here, or maybe that one over there.
And you can choose either to create an obvious copy - or to pay some percent extra and include some gimmicks. And thus hide the fact that you just build a copy.

It is only a projection.
I just know there is a total of 4.100 seats in the suites.

If the capacity is 10 people in one, it´s about 410. If it´s 20 people, it´s about 205...
And i don´t know if this proposal has changed...
These renders were presented in july, and the final project this week.

Looked at the 2014 FIFA World Cup thread and they apparently redesigned the stadium so it could have a different roof and have an oval groundprint. The arena's interior is still the same, although it has two floors of luxury boxes instead of one. Should have redesigned the stands into an oval as well.

This new design would have required the total demolition or a reconstruction (similar to Soccer City or the Kiev Olympisky Stadium) of the existing Mane Garrincha Stadium.

If they cover the circumference with a transparent glass wall, it'll be PERFECT! Otherwise, it will end up just as another dirty concrete monument in Brasília...
