Big-dog

You must inform here in advance when the opening of line 13 starts so I can try it on the opening day.

Interesting, so they would show line 16 on maps, but not line 22.

How can they publish such map since the lines are still not opened? Where did you find it? Thanks

The new map can be found on all subway trains. They have put small font showing "not opened yet" under those unopened stations/lines.

They have also put it up on the platforms in the stations.

Line 13 and the south extension of line 9 must already be open, as they do not have the 'not opened yet' stickers on them.

The map also shows the north extension of Line 11 to Huaqiao.

I would assume that it would not be too much longer before the 'not opened yet' lines pictured on the map open - probably within the first half of 2013, I would guess.

According to Metrofans Line 13 (West) and Line 9 Southern Extension should be open tomorrow/today (30th Dec). For some reason there's been extremely little publicity.

I tried the new line 13 today on the first day and it's nice as always, even a bit nicer than the other lines.

all recent infra projects across the country adopt none or minimum opening ceremonies in an effort to save cost and reduce bureaucracy.

Do the lines 4 and 6 share the same complex at Pudian Road? Or are they totally separate as in you need to exit and enter the stations for interchanging?
Edit: Nevermind. I guess the two different circles in the map means that they are separate.

Pudian Road on Line 6 is about a block west of Pudian Road on Line 4.

Good, I think that money would be better spent elsewhere. Anyways subway openings are not even special anymore in China, it literally happens at least once every year. Especially the heavy weight systems like Shanghai or Beijing.
